[W:160:194]***Preachers Are Hosting a “Make America Straight Again” Event

Re: Preachers Are Hosting a “Make America Straight Again” Event

Is that supposed to be a threat?

What the hell are you jabberring about ? Are you thinking clearly ?

Re: Preachers Are Hosting a “Make America Straight Again” Event

It's practically hate speech according to American law.

1. Specific target.
2. Specific audience.
3. Advocating violence.
4. Real possibility of it being acted upon.

About half of the people on this site practice "hate speech". By your own definition, this is a "hate site". But for now, the first Amendment is still in force.

Re: Preachers Are Hosting a “Make America Straight Again” Event

Just wondering if those who call themselves "Christian" on this forum support these 'Christian' preachers and their ideology.

Some may, others won't. Great thing about this country: We have the right to free speech and free exercise of religion.

Re: Preachers Are Hosting a “Make America Straight Again” Event

1) Point 1, I dind't say it, it was on the link to the OP. 2) A generic condemnation of violence is something you are not willing to do. Number 3) It's your reputation, not mine.

As usual, you don't know what you are talking about, you don't know what I am thinking and I'm not sure you know what you're thinking.

That's totally ignorant. Review the law.

Yet, you are unable to type the words 'I condemn the threat of violence against gays, and those specific statements if they actually said them'. Gosh, I wonder what's so hard about that.

I found it to be a piece of cake. I wonder what is preventing him from saying it?

Re: Preachers Are Hosting a “Make America Straight Again” Event

Just wondering if those who call themselves "Christian" on this forum support these 'Christian' preachers and their ideology.

And I recently got into an argument with two people who thought I was crazy for saying that we have a growing "Christian ISIS" in this country.
No, they are not chopping off anyone's heads....YET.

YET.

He doesn't understand the teachings of Christ, or simply willfully chooses to reject them, or both ?

The terminally self righteous should learn to mind their own business.

Re: Preachers Are Hosting a “Make America Straight Again” Event

Let's look at some statements from the speakers at this event

That violence. Do you say that those statements and call for violence is unchristian?

itsjustme is doing the "play dumb" gaslighting rhetorical device, it is a form of troll baiting.

Doing a very good job with one of the two, and failing miserably with the other.

Re: Preachers Are Hosting a “Make America Straight Again” Event

A while back I saw a documentary by Stephen Fry and in it, he met one of these preachers. The guy went on and on about men committing sodomy with each other. Fry pointed out that not all gay men indulge in sodomy and many hetero couples do it but the guy seemed to be deaf and just went on and on about gay sodomy. It was obvious that he was obsessed with it.

You make a good point...all sexual deviancies are wrong in God's eyes...I, too, have wondered how many "Christians" will condemn persons for performing the exact same acts they perform in their own bedrooms...

Nope, I'm just not letting these creeps bully me into saying something I don't want to say. Besides, unlike the couch potatoes on this site, I work for a living, and I don't have enough information to make a judgement. Number three, it doesn't look like a crime has been committed other than upsetting the loony left.

And if Christ was here, they'd string him up all over again in his own name.

Re: Preachers Are Hosting a “Make America Straight Again” Event

The following comes from one of those "queer lover" websites so the words are obviously lies.

17 Antigay Leaders Exposed as Gay or Bi

former Ohio state Rep. Wes Goodman
cofounder of the Family Research Council George Rekers
Alabama Attorney General Troy King
Washington State Rep. Richard Curtis
former president of the Young Republican National Federation, Glenn Murphy, Jr
California Republican Congressman David Dreier
An antigay county commissioner in Cumberland County, Pa. Bruce Barclay
California state Sen. Roy Ashburn, blamed his constituents for his anti-gay voting record
U.S. Sen. Larry Craig of Idaho
Republican Virginia congressman Edward Schrock
Florida state representative and co-chairman of Sen. John McCain's presidential committee, Bob Allen
Indiana state Rep. Phillip Hinkle
former Puerto Rico Sen. Roberto Arango
North Dakota state Rep. Randy Boehning
Michigan pastor Matthew Makela
Antigay evangelical pastor Ted Haggard
Republican North Carolina State Senate candidate Steve Wiles

So true. And it's always them isn't it?

Whoever is leading this Make America Straight Again nonsense is simply a closet homo who can't deal with their own persuasion so they have to project on others. I say leave the gays alone. It's in the f***ing constitution for Chrissakes.

Re: Preachers Are Hosting a “Make America Straight Again” Event

I'll bet that some of those preachers are closet gays.

A LOT of them.
Ted Haggard: Meth and man-ass.

Re: Preachers Are Hosting a “Make America Straight Again” Event

He doesn't understand the teachings of Christ, or simply willfully chooses to reject them, or both ?

Or he has never studied them.

This should be good: tell us what you know about what we do in our own bedrooms, sister.

If Christ was here you'd nail him to another cross.

Re: Preachers Are Hosting a “Make America Straight Again” Event

The terminally self righteous should learn to mind their own business.

Then they wouldn't be "terminally" self righteous. It's terminal.

Re: Preachers Are Hosting a “Make America Straight Again” Event

NO! They said what they really want.

I stand corrected. I guess what I meant to say is they would like to enact violence upon them if they don't disappear.
