Did you ever really believe?

Go spin your web of lies to someone else, Ramoss.

If it is a lie, you would be able to take a single passage, and discuss about it in depth, in context. I see no evidence of you ever doing that. The way to prove me wrong it is to actually discuss the various passages in context, in depth. Thus far, I do not see that you have that ability.

Ah, the karma concept combined with the idea of eternal life.

I had a Buddhist girlfriend for a couple of years (Vietnamese) and they more or less believed in the idea of eternal life, but that part seemed more cast as a way to work yourself out of trouble. I remember something like a "the rich man gets to walk in the shoes of the poor man" idea. Definitely not fire and brimstone for eternity.

It depends greatly on the version of Buddhism.

What? You can't write an accurate account of events unless you're first back at the original site? What kind of logic is that?

That's often what presidents, military men and a great many others do.

You'll get your proof in due time. Until then I doubt any evidence will help you.

The books of the stupid Bible are no more accurate about spiritual realities than the books of Star Wars.

That's another lie of yours. Over the years here I've provided a good deal of extra-biblical confirmations of various people, places, and events - all of which apparently went in your right eye and out your left ear.

Sure, dox, Jesus must have been a mute. Do you ever check your postings to see how lame they are?

The language they were fluent in was Aramaic. Your attempts at independent verification of the supernatural events in question have all failed. The pop apologetics attempts rely on fundamentalist apologists quoting each other and trying to spin a pseudo history.

What is the oldest complete manuscript for one of the gospels and what language is it written in?

You need some new material.

And he never will have the ability.

Yet, for all your diversionary comments, you are unable to actually talk about the various bible quotes in any depth at all. Just at most a few lines here and there, and attempting to link it to another few lines that just so happened to use the same words, but quite often are talking about completely different things to put together a theology of sound bits.

There is no depth of understanding when you do that.

That's okay. The righter report blog knows all. When you get confused - post the link!

The Bible, itself as a compendium, is anything but "stupid".

The 'righter report' (which can't get any more wrong), suffers from a strong lack of ability and understanding too. It basically uses politics to justify religious views..and vis versa. Who ever wrote that is quite insane.

Everyone 'believes' in something.

This is impossible, unless you have the ability to read everyone's mind, which is where belief resides.
Wouldnt that be something...

EVERYONE has a belief system.

When you read about the genocide and slaves and killing your son until told not to at the last minute, Grimms fables probably provides a better moral compass.

EVERYONE has a belief system.

Some people believe in stuff that makes sense. And, then you have those who believe in religion.

Producing offspring was part of god's punishment, especially to Eve. Their life outside of the garden was a punishment, not a consolation prize. Life is god's punishment to mankind.

Oh, good grief...no, it was not...for Adam and Eve to become plentiful and fill the earth was a part of his original purpose for mankind long before they sinned...you don't even know what you are talking about...

"Further, God blessed them, and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving on the earth.” Genesis 1:28

Your ridiculous bigotry and hatred aside, as long as we are clear that everyone believes in something.

That site is probably the best example of the poison created by combining far-right politics, scorched earth libertarian corporatism and fundamentalist christianity I've ever seen. It's a nasty brew. It seems to have turned off the last couple of generations and I hope that continues.

Yes, free will does exist, and salvation can be had by anyone (John 3:16). Even the Bible says to make a choice.

"This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live." - Deuteronomy 30:19

If people wind up in Hell it will be for cursing and mocking God and failing to receive Christ as their Savior. It will be their CHOICE to suffer in Hell.

It almost seems like the Bible is totally inconsistent on the issue and it's little more than a Rorschach test...

Who's to say that God that didn't predestine people to choose the way that they choose? There's tons of evidence for it (Proverbs 16:33, Ephesians 1:11, Psalm 139:16, etc.), just ask any Calvinist theologian.

Why would it be better? Are you not thankful to be alive, even though being in a sinful state and being allowed the gift of salvation? I know I am ...it sure beats the alternative...

Actually I'm not thankful to be alive, hence the antinatalism, but that's a debate for another thread.
