European faith (lack of)

It is happening. Very quickly across the whole world.

Never has there been a more invaisive culture than the present Western/Anglo one. We have conquered everywhere we have not invaded.

It can still irreversibly damage familial relationships for an atheist to state that fact, in the U.S.

The damage can also be physical if you live in the Mideast.

The world still has a long way to go.

Oh, yes.

And by the way If you have a problem with your family accepting you as an atheist you might like to explain that their attacks on you are just an excuse for not actually liking you.

Fastest growing number of Hell-bound Europeans too.

I am sure that, having made that claim, yhou can provide objective and tangibile evidence of this? Let's see you show that any of them will be hell bound without resorting to religious dogma.

Well of course, I didn't say there aren't any exceptions.
Depends too what kind of upbringing (or experience) a person had.

Someone close to me was abused as a youth by a pastor of an organized religion - he strayed like me.
Now? He's a born again. Though he doesn't attend church regularly - he does his own thing with God.
He saw his aged abuser one time on a street - no matter how tempted he was to accost the elderly pastor and tell him in his face how he almost had him losing his faith - instead, he's forgiven him.
He's more religious now than his own parents!

No. It depends whether a religion is or is not despicable. 'Bad' exists, quite independently of anyone's opinion or upbringing. Example: burning someone alive because they hold a particular religious view
point is a disgrace; whether you or I think it so matters not.

We were invaded by the Normans. A catastrophy which pushed back the development of representative government and the placing of a monarch under the law of the land, rather than over it, by two or three hundred years.

I'm not sure of your point...

My point is that From Bhutan to the DRC the idea of a good government being a democratic capitalist one with a free press and the rule of law and having X-factor on the TV with the image of a beaytiful girl being a slim one who looks good in a swin suit is the only culture in town.

That is a conquest of ideas such as has never happened before.

Everywhere we have not invaded.
