The guy says he supports Trump. Is this the New age of world populism?

I join other members and guests in congratulating the winner.

People throughout the world are very concerned about certain issues, so they are electing representatives who they hope can do something concrete about those concerns.

If the 2020 elections in our country are honest (something that is not guaranteed), I think that the people will make the right choice, too.

I think people around the world are finally waking up to the climate change scam, and that issue played a big role in Labor's defeat.

Unfortunately the Liberal Party is not conservative enough. They used to be and they need to get back there. I was watching a DVD, but ejected it to see just how much we were losing by, and lo and behold, to my utter joy, saw that the Liberal party had won. I was stunned but overjoyed. Shorten lost the unloseable election and has now stepped down (before he was pushed) as Labor leader. Australians were a lot smarter than I gave us credit for and we have another 3 years without Labor in charge. Tis wonderful!

The extreme far right failed spectacularly . Pauline Hanson's One Nation Party has so far been unable to secure a single seat in the House of Representatives.

Ultra-conservative Fraser Anning lost his Senate spot. Good to see Australians reject the type of extremism Fraser Anning promoted.

Oh happy days...

The politics of Chicken Little fail again. Hopefully Trudeau is next.

Australia Surprise Election Results

~ Is the "progressive" political movement dead ? Is the leftist news media pushing an agenda that is actually unpopular with most voters ? Look at what is happening in England, Europe, Venezuela and Brazil. Now Australia .

-- Australia's seemingly unpopular conservative government held onto power in Saturday's national election -- despite the fact that most analysts expected it to lose.
Progressive Australians are " hurting" , - to understate things - in scenes reminiscent of the 2016 U.S. residential election aftermath (only they are threatening to move to New Zealand instead of Canada). Even Donald Trump sees the parallels, reportedly calling to congratulate the Trump-sympathizing Morrison and comparing his shock win to his own.

Australia election upset: How did the conservatives win?

Re: Australia Surprise Election Results

So how do the voters feel about their prime minister, now?

I understand he was on vacation while his country is burning.
