"Leave it to a western liberal to parade their virtue and solidarity in the most patronizing way imaginable."

In other words, parading one's "empathy" by posturing with religious symbols of another person's religion is about the most patronizing expression imaginable. Welcoming by dressing in their national costumes may be empathy to a western liberal, but its something quite different to those who take their religious customs as serious.

And, by the way, no one is talking about a persons submission to Islam, we are talking about the inappropriate use of religious and oppressive symbols, no matter how well meaning by clueless western liberals.

Now read the remainder of my teachings, and then get back to me young Kiwi...
And you missed the point that the Muslim community of NZ were happy with this display of empathy. But you knew that already, your words simply mask your bigotry and hatred.

I didn't miss your point, I addressed it. You expect us to take your word that all Muslims in NZ were happy with others wearing hijabs, thus normalizing a symbol of oppression. I said some likely are, some not. I also didn't change my position on all the other points why I consider imitating oppressive symbols of women as property is a bad thing.

So who then is actually masking their bigotry and hatred of women?
