A senior Islamic State figure in Syria dictated a plan to execute mass-casualty terrorism on Australian soil and managed to send a "military-grade explosive" to Sydney undetected.
The alleged terrorism conspiracy that police cracked open last week served as a chilling example of how IS figures use supporters as puppets to carry out terrorism in foreign countries.
Messages between Lakemba man Khaled Mahmoud Khayat, 49, and IS spanned months and delved into how the most destructive plot ever concocted on Australian soil would be executed.
The method of "virtually planning" involves IS operatives feeding overseas supporters instructions via encrypted communication platforms on how to carry out terrorism.

Isis managed to smuggle military grade explosives into Australia, which was to be planted on a passenger jet. Another plot involved attacking crowds in Sydney, with some kind of chemical weapon. Thank God they never succeeded in their plans.
Isis has infiltrated many western countries, finding sympathizers amongst the Muslims living there. This Australian plot could have killed hundreds of people. It only took one massive shooting spree for Australia to ban guns, why are they still taking chances with potential Isis sympathizers?
