Muslim leader says violence towards women 'last resort'

A SENIOR Muslim leader has said using violence against women is a "last resort" for men.
President of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils Keysar Trad described beating women as "step three" in a process of dealing with issues in relationships, after counselling and buying chocolates or "taking her out on a dinner".

People devoid of any sense of humor should perhaps not comment on anything clearly meant as humorous.

Just like people ignorant of mostly everything should perhaps comment on nothing at all.

Actually, when one reads the article in more detail, the twisting and squirming of Trad trying to explain the whole issue away is both pathetic and also sad.

If any religion would bring me into such intellectual and (hopefully) emotional conflict, I'd abandon it.

Fortunately I did that long ago already.

Perhaps. But humor is subjective and in your case selective.
 
Keysar Trad was caught between a rock and a hard place. Disciplining women with a slap is a tenant in Islam so he can't deny it, can't say it is not part of Islam, and, he knows that it is assault in Australia and against the law. What's a man to do in such a position? He tried to justify it because he can't deny it.

Just go to quran.com, enter 4:34 in the search window, and judge for yourself. When you place the cursor over the Arabic text, it translates it to English. All words in brackets, such as "finally", are NOT in the Arabic, but have been added by the translator. The part about beating reads, "Wa idrubu hunna". That means, "and beat them". There is no "finally" in there. Mr. Trad's tap dance is a perfect example of how Muslims have to lie to make Islam sound compatible with Western society.
 
Well, this development was long in coming for Australia. Let's go back 3 years:

Mr Badar came to Australia when he was three and grew up in western Sydney. He is currently doing a PHD in economics at Sydney University. How did he get into Sydney University? Under the diversity category?

Do we need more of these kind of Muslims in our country or should we be taking steps to separate them from the ones who are not this violent??
 
Violence towards homosexuals is also seen as a last resort. Offer them the opportunity to stop being gay, and then throw them from tall buildings.

Because they are a religion of peace.

And in their zeal to show how angry and powerful women are and to resist the patriarchy and oppose conservatism, they are forming rallies, embracing the burka, and shouting Allah Ahkbar in solidarity. Cuz as a collective they are....stupid beyond words.

I see a lot of folk disagreeing with homosexuals in the bible belt. I dont see them throwing gays from towers. Do you? Meanwhile, in the UK, over half of all Muslims believe homosexuality should be criminalized and that gays shouldnt be allowed to teach or otherwise influence children. Thats not over half of fundamentalist Islam...thats over half of ALL Islam. And thats why you look so completely ****ing stupid when you are given the reality of modern day Islam and your only reply is "but...but...the Christians!!!"
