  • China said it suffered 43 casualties, but did not specify whether any of its men had been killed in the grisly hand-to-hand combat fought with clubs and rocks in the Galwan Valley, Ladakh
  • The Indians today claimed after their men were savaged, the Chinese troops mutilated their corpses
  • No bullets were fired as per a peace treaty which bars firearms within 2km of the Line of Actual Control (LAC), the line drawn down the 17,000ft-high valley after India's defeat in the 1962 Sino-Indian War
  • Responding to China's actions in the valley, Delhi warned Beijing against 'exaggerated and untenable claims'
  • Comes after China broadcast live-fire drills with 7,000 infantry in the Tibetan plateau following the skirmish


India has said its soldiers were mutilated after being beaten to death by Chinese troops and revealed the nail-studded clubs used at the disputed Himalayan border.

Twenty Indians were killed in the clash on Monday night, the first deadly conflict between the two nuclear-armed countries since 1975.

China said it suffered 43 casualties, but did not specify whether any of its men had been killed in the grisly hand-to-hand combat in the Galwan Valley, Ladakh.

The Indians today claimed that after their men were savaged with nail-studded clubs, the Chinese People's Liberation Army mutilated their corpses.

No bullets were fired as per a peace treaty which bars firearms within 2km of the Line of Actual Control (LAC), the line drawn down the 17,000ft-high valley after India's defeat in the 1962 Sino-Indian War.

If China thinks they can **** with India on territorial disputes the way they **** with everyone else, they’ll be sorely mistaken.

India is not a pushover and is not exactly alien to the concept of border disputes.

Admittedly a long time ago, but the last time the two squared off in a large scale way it didn’t go too well for India.

China is cruising for a bruising. The Indian Navy is quite competent and can lock down the Indian ocean forcing Chinese container ships and oil to be sent back through the Panama canal to their shores.
 
I find it very surreal that 2 nuclear-armed powers are fighting each other with stones & clubs on the world's highest battlefield.
 
Thanks to the Democratic Party, China is now the most powerful country on earth and will continue to expand in every direction. The USA is only a few years away from just being one of China's territories exactly as the richest corporate-fascist on earth want and the Democratic Party therefore will continue to do all it can to destroy the United States for China at every level including to elect China's Manchurian candidate Joe Biden.

Whether the United States fully becomes just a province of China will be determined in the upcoming election as that is the #1 issue and what is most at stake now.

They have a standing agreement that neither side will carry firearms in the disputed regions precisely to prevent a shooting war from breaking out.

Jesus **** man 19 year old Chinese conscripts are hardly the vanguard of the CCP.
 
India is one of the few - if only - remaining country to offer any real economic competition to China. To rule the entire world all China need do is gain concession for India. There is no other significant industrial power left. Mexico is probably more an industrial power than the USA now.

They are not poor conscripts drafted from the rice fields, Jredbaron96. China has not practiced mass-conscription in decades. The People's Liberation Army has been and continues to be the armed wing of the Chinese Communist Party, and is an all-volunteer force. I weep for them as much as I would weep for the Waffen SS or the Italian Blackshirts.

Given my druthers, I think I would prefer a bullet to a “nail-studded club!”

Your average PLA soldier is no more a fanatic than your average American, British, or Russian soldier.

The core of the SS and Blackshirts were fanatics willing to fight to the death, hardly comparable to your average PLA trooper.
 
Time to sell/trade lots and lots and lots and lots of really nice weapons to India. :D

Heard that China outnumbered them 3 to 1 and India still killed twice as many. If you look at some of the videos of the borderclashes over the years its no surprise, the Indians are like 6 inches bigger than them and 80 pounds heavier. Dunno why China would wanna pick a fight with them at this time.

It is an agreement from both sides that firearms will not be brought into the area. Generally meant to limit the potential for escalation
