Since you are the commie here, why dont you rattle off all those communist success stories rather than attack capitalism.

• 50% of the elderly live in extreme poverty
• elderly live on 25% of the subsistence level
• only 35% of seniors have pensions
• The highest suicide rate among older people — due to poverty and despair
• The highest level of prostitution among older women

alternative, die in famine at 19 years old. that is the soviet way.

There is nothing in this thread to take seriously.

The stats are questionable, the images are being used out of context, and the OP offers nothing in opening statements in their own thoughts and words on the matter.

Why is the number of deaths from starvation during the Great Depression in the US officially unknown? Or did they take pots with free soup for the starving to the countryside as well? And when millions of people dig dirt in the middle of nowhere for food, is it like the Invisible Hand of the Free Market or the advantage of democratic capitalism over tyrannical planned economy?

The Great Depression occurred because of protectionism, which is a form of anti-capitalism.

South Koreans are proud of their country- right after the Korean War it was a smoldering ruin, but now theyre prosperous. North Korea on the other hand, is a shining example of socialism, and its funny you dont even bring them up.

Dont be shy....tell us all about the success of Communism; The whole world watched on TV as the Soviet Union "successed" itself out of existence in 1991.

Surely all the worlds Nation would want to following the footsteps of the great experiment....communism sure outlasted the west; I'm sure Kruschev is spinning in his grave.

After the war, both Koreas lay in ruins, which is not surprising after what was done there. (In the first 1.5 years of the war, American troops used up 100,000 tons of high-explosive bombs, 400,000 rockets, 15 million gallons of napalm (this was enough to burn out all of Korea).
Despite the fact that the territory of North Korea is less favorable for the economy, since it is located in a mountainous area, about 20 years North Korea was ahead of South Korea in development. For most of its history, South Korea has been under the control of military regimes, with everything bad inherent in such regimes, almost all junta leaders or presidents were ultimately overthrown and killed or ended up in prison for corruption and other features of democracy. Is such a shining example of what? Not socialism, that's for sure ...

This crap is another fake news lie. Take a look at the USA on that chart ranked at 13th while the only people living at poverty levels are from the m ost generous states such as New York and California. All of the top states from that chart are in the EU where taxes are through the roof and the quality of life diminishes on a daily basis - look at France with the yellow vests and pensioners are protesting on a daily basis - look at the UK where Brexit is finally a reality to attest to the fine European quality of life levels have fallen through the floor. Then there are all of the illegal invaders siphoning off $ meant for citizens.

This same "poverty" BS has been touted by the left wing since the 60's - and the only thing we have gotten more of is the same lies - "The sky is falling, the sky is falling!".

What's that old saying about "lies, damned lies and left wing statistics".

Nice....where is the Soviet Union now?

Capitalism did not win immediately. How many bourgeois revolutions were in France? Even the United States, in order for capitalism to establish itself, a war against slavery was needed. Capitalism has outlived itself; it is dangerous for humanity. Socialism and the construction of communism is the future of mankind

And yet, it did win, and continues to do so. That old tale of the Hare and the Turtle comes to mind.

However, I will concede communism is the perfect method of governing.....for insects; really, it works well for Bee's.....humans, not so much.

But keep fighting that good fight; communism will get it right next time, right? Or Eventually?

I served in South Korea in 1968, during the Pueblo Crisis. At that time, the place was more third world than developed nation; Seoul city was a maze of narrow streets and ongoing development while outside of Seoul were large and small villages - quite often with open sewerage running along the sides of the road (called binji pits). The people were poor but proud and the worst insult was to call one of them a "commie". The one lasting impression I had when I left Korea was that these were all hard working capitalists aching for the chance to grow themselves and their economy. Fifty years later, I see a country that has pulled itself by the bootstraps out of extreme poverty and totalitarian rulers.

Will these "analysts" ever learn to look at the history of a nation before they condemn that country for a graph that doesn't fit their preconcieved and often bigoted notions.

And the amazing thing is.......North Korea is still far worse off.

OMG! Capitalism is the only economic system that has consistently lifted most of the people out of poverty! The only people we now find living in poverty like conditions in the USA tend to be the lazy, the addicted and the de-institutionalized crazies. In the USA, even the illegal invaders get various rent, food and welfare benefits. Most of the illegals and "homeless" live in California, Washington state and New York where the Democrat administrations have made it a point to turn their backs on the citizens to favor the most extreme un-American factions.

An American born into poverty can lift himself to the highest levels if he is willing to work hard and sacrifice much - while people born elsewhere have little hope of a successful life no matter how hard they work or how much they sacrifice. I suggest to many of my left wing acquaintances that they get a job and move out of mommies basement - and stop looking for all of the freebies that someone else must pay for. That's another reason most capitalists are happy ewith their lot in life - they did it their way - they paid the price and enjoyed the self satisfaction such success can bring.

The end of capitalism is inevitable, the problem with it today is that it can take all of humanity to the grave with it. Capitalism is competition. There has never been pure capitalism; it has always been merged with the state; therefore, economic competition grows into political and, ultimately, into war. With this, everything was just like a thousand years ago, until a weapon appeared that could destroy human life on our planet. Mankind since the 50s, as a ram rested against the gate with the inscription "Mutually guaranteed destruction." And capitalism is unable to destroy this contradiction. Therefore, it is deadly. Not a country that could establish its own regime around the world and prevent clashes. Only socialism is capable of this, destroying exploitation and the economic basis for wars. So if the future of your children and grandchildren is dear to you, destroy capitalism.
P.S. Comparing communists with insects is common for communists. They heard this from the Nazis - the capitalists, who discarded all the external decorations of the inhuman regime of Сapital, such as "democracy" and other words, and wished to establish the most favorable regime for the capitalists: profit from slaves. A familiar phenomenon in the country of victorious capitalism? And also to destroy unnecessary people unsuitable in a racial sense. Also a familiar phenomenon in a developed capitalist society? Is it not?

Step across the Demarcation Line and ask the elderly how much the Rocketman cares about them.

No, it is not! I remember when Obama wanted to introduce his medical reform, the conservatives spoke of it as the end of the United States, because the country simply cannot afford it.
I can give as an example a country that could afford it - the USSR. And in the form of complete free medical care at all levels. A country that has experienced total war destruction twice in 25 years and a huge population loss. Do you know what else the USSR could afford?
*Free housing constitutionally guaranteed for all residents. What Americans must pay for 30 years is three times the initial price. In the USSR it was impossible to be homeless. And unemployed, too, by the way.
Want more? Universal free higher education. With guaranteed employment. It is not necessary to pay for decades the money borrowed for higher education.
Pensions, it goes without saying. At 55 for women and 60 for men. For those who worked in more difficult conditions, like metalurgy, mines are 45 and 50 years old. And the price of tickets for transport or for electricity or gas in the house, which has not changed for decades and amounted to 1 or 2% of the salary ...
AndSpace exploration, remember which country was leading the space race? Or about military power. All this could afford the country of socialism. In which everyone worked for the benefit of the entire population, that is, for themselves, and not for Rothschild and Rockefeller ...
Alas, some people wanted more, they wanted to have yachts and light cigarettes from 100 dollar bills, like in Hollywood movies. Socialism was killed from within, killed by traitors at the top. But history cannot be turned back. Our cause is just, the enemy will be defeated, victory will be ours.

Wow......228 words just to say "I hate capitalism".

That was as efficient as a 5 year plan.

I will leave a level of approval like "Capitalism is good!" and "Communism is bad!" for lovers of capitalism. Communism is a more complicated thing.
Lenin said: "You can become a Communist only when you enrich your memory with knowledge of all the that humanity has developed."

By the way, somewhere on the Internet I saw the "Capital" of Marx in pictures, like comics. You can try to start, there are few letters and words.

Did capitalism cause the great depression if so explain how.
I don't know what "dig dirt for food" means. Are you talkin about truffles?
