SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said the breakdown in talks with the United States has raised the risks of reviving tensions, and he is only interested in meeting President Donald Trump again if the United States comes with the right attitude, state media KCNA said on Saturday.

Kim said he will wait “till the end of this year” for the United States to decide to be more flexible, according to KCNA.

Trump & his minions have approached the NORK question in a very naive manner. They are never going to give up their nukes, which are there ace in the hole as far as international relations go. Trump was unprepared for the last 'summit' & he likely will be unprepared for the next. Kim wants more than a photo op. He also holds most of the cards in his hand. It is the President of the United States who has to fly half way around the world to lick his boots in return for hollow promises at best.

It will be interesting to see what Trump gives up to appease Kim. It seems the unending stream of praise isn't working.

I'll bight. Instability in the Korean peninsula? NORKs selling missile & nuke technology/hardware to rogue nations & terrorists? They want cash, they have chemical & nuclear weapons & technology to sell. If I were you I'd be concerned about Trump's clown car handling of Kim. He's totally unsuited for this game. Kim is playing him for the obese fool he is. There is no way we can win here without at least pretending to win by giving away the ranch. It's like Neville Chamberlain coming back to wave Hitler's signature on a piece of paper & declaring that he had secured peace. Another simple minded idiot.

Of course, Trump and Pompeo are certain to want to save their image of fixing the crisis in North Korea, so they'll take Kim's bait yet again, and once again fall on their faces in front of the whole world.

It's humiliating for our country.

I agree, the lack of empathy and creative power to manifest on our part was abysmal and showed no respect.

If you want to manifest NK that de-nukes, then that is your responsibility, it's a fail or execution task?

North Korea, if they want to manifest lifted sanctions, then this is their responsibility.

Say, "This is how we provide your security if you de-nuke, but we can't.

He cannot say, "Here is how I will not do it to you if you feed me."

So we say, "you are criminal," broadly instead of "Because you are terroristic threatening we want to make the example that you should give up your nukes."

He is of course unrecognized and treated as a commoner or your discussions might be interesting.

You elected Trump because he has his Christian buddy Pence and did Trump ever ask Un if he knew that The Lord Jesus Christ Loves him and that he was a sinner and that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross and shed his precious blood for for him so that he could live?

So in my estimation they have failed miserably.

So, he and Donald are two peas in the same, giving others ultimatums, usually without a plan B. Shocking it is not.
