    Re: Four boys resued

It's Amazing Thailand as the slogan has it from many years ago and as developed by the Thailand Tourism Authority.

Applause and cheers greet international and Navy SEAL divers

The dozens of international divers and Thai Navy SEAL frogmen who were involved in the high-risk operation to bring all the 13 survivors out of Tham Luang cave were given a resounding applause and cheers by hundreds of officials and volunteers after they emerged from the cave at about 7.10 pm.

The last five survivors, including the football coach, were safely brought out of the cave and sent to Chiang Rai Prachanukroh hospital earlier.

“We are not sure if this is a miracle, a science or what. All the thirteen Wild Boars are now out of the cave,” was a message posted on the Thai Navy SEAL’s Facebook page.

The late Thai Navy Seal and selfless sergeant-major Samarn Gunan.

Chief of the rescue operation Narongsak Osotthanakaorn told a news conference later that the four SEAL members who had been keeping the 13 suvivors company since they were discovered by a team of British divers a week ago were the last to emerge from the cave. They include Dr Park Loharnchun, a medical doctor who has trained as a SEAL member and who has become a celebrity for his role. The news was also greeted with a loud applause from journalists and volunteers.

Narongsak expressed his gratitude for all the divers and volunteers who joined in the rescue mission which he described as a historical event unprecedented in the world.

Richard Harris (Harry) was the last person to exit the cave. Sadly, his Dad passed away shortly after he left the cave.

For those who aren't familiar with Harry, he is an Australian Doctor (anaesthetist), and one of Australia's leading technical cave divers. He entered the cave before each rescue operation and assessed the boys' fitness to make the journey. He was the man tasked with giving the medical all-clear for each evacuation, and decided what order the boys would leave the cave in. He doesn't wear the hero tag well and believes that term should be reserved for the 12 boys and the 4 SEALS who stayed with the boys the entire time.

He has previously been involved in other humanitarian assignments throughout the years and is well respected. Just a beautiful and selfless man. Such a sad way to end what should now be a time of celebration for him.

It all ended well, the rescuers deserve a medal at the very least.

Videos of the boys in their hospital common room and their mothers waving back and forth to each other through a large window.

The third video below is smoking.

It is actual footage of one of the boys yet unidentified being taken through the cave by rescuers. It shows the rescuers submerging the boy to pass through a tight area. Bringing the boy out on the other end. Carrying the boy in a special tube with high sides. The boy is wrapped in a foil blanket and his head covered to protect him from the elements after emerging from the water. Some of the shots get up close enough to see his face. The video does not show the boy outside of the carry tube he is in. It appears none of the boys walked at all inside the cave during the rescue. Rather, divers carried each of em up and down rocks, already built in steps and along some narrow flat floor trails. Awesome.

An excellent CNN report which includes some split screen showing the boys in the hospital room and the rescue operation in the cave. CNN discusses whether each boy was sedated throughout the rescue which is left as an open question possibility.

Rousing cheers and smiles as the divers and rescue support workers to include medical personnel emerge from the cave after all 13 were extracted and sent on to the hospital. Mission accomplished.

A ten minute summary narration by ABC Nightline which is pretty good stuff about the whole of the story. It begins with actual cell phone video of the team practicing on the field. Some views of the 45 minute bike ride to the cave. It is the whole of it condensed and that moves along briskly and well.

It's been confirmed they were sedated. The right decision under the circumstances.
