North Korea continued to expand one of its missile plants during the weeks leading up its summit with the U.S. last month, according to an analysis of satellite imagery by researchers in the U.S.

The report, released by the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, concludes that North Korea was expanding its nuclear capabilities despite North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s claims that the country would denuclearize, Bloomberg reported.

Pffft, whatever. NK is dedicated to furthering its denuclearization efforts. They wouldn't have just lied to Trump to get something in return!! Trump would have seeing through such a ruse, he knows the art of the deal better than anyone. He's no rube.
 
I thought Trump was going to be able to tell in just a few minutes if Kim was serious about disarmament?

Probably, but after the photo op that Trump declared as a major win we have not seen NK saber rattling quite as much lately. That alone is a slight improvement. The real test will be when (not if) NK does resume its saber rattling what The Donald will do (not just say) about it.

They aren't saber rattling because they think that Trump is just dumb enough to allow them to continue perfecting their weapons all the while getting concessions from the US due to POTUS being in denial. He can't dare act like it was anything other than a wild success, so I doubt Trump will even mention north koreas latest actions. He will go the next 2+ years trying his best to pretend that he's fixed this.

Yep, most diplomacy is simply pretending - see the ME 'peace process' which many see as an endless state of (undeclared?) war.

Except for things like the Iran deal where we had inspectors int he country actually verifying real progress.

So I'm guessing you're not one of these guys that loves Trump ability to negotiate now that you seem to be just fine with fake diplomacy and false assertions of fixing the problem? Something tells me you'd be more upset if Obama went to NK, called him a great guy, stopped our military exercises because "we were being too provocative", got nothing in return and then found out they were ramping everything up right after Obama declared them no longer a threat... but that's just a guess...
