The Chinese state is setting up a vast ranking system system that will monitor the behaviour of its enormous population, and rank them all based on their "social credit." The program is due to be fully operational by 2020, but is being piloted for millions of people already. The scheme is mandatory.

Being a bad citizen means that the government could begin
1. Banning you from flying or getting the train.
2. Throttling your internet speeds.
3. Banning you (or your kids!) from the best schools.
4. Stopping you getting the best jobs.
5. Keeping you out of the best hotels.
6. Being publicly named as a bad citizen.

Good citizens will get
1. More matches on dating websites.
2. Discounts on energy bills
3. rent things without deposits
4. get better interest rates at banks.

This is the absolute height of creepiness, totalitarianism, and the need for human control. I am sure Mark Zuckerberg is upset that he did not think of this first.

Well that's communism for you. I would imagine if we did something like this, we'd have the good sense not to tell our population, lol.
 
What a terrible idea, I sure hope our Skynet doesn't allow for this when our AI overlords take over.
