How will Trump respond if North Korea threatens the USA with nuclear attack?

The story I heard was that Carter went to Iran begging them to release the hostages so that the "crazy, volatile" Reagan would not be elected and turn Iran into a sheet of slag.

Joke of the time: "What's flat, black, and glows in the dark?" Answer: "Iran after Reagan's elected."

So it might well have been fear of what Reagan would do that prompted Iran to release the hostages. Or maybe they figured that they had enough revenge on Carter.

No, Kim Jong Un is just flat out crazy. North Korea is basically a Stalinist level personality cult mixed with Stalinist level political repression. I'm not surprised you think they are wonderful, in other words.

No; the South Koreans want us there, Dave. They rather emphatically want no part of communism and Kim worship. We have been allies for many years, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

It's rather hilarious how you support any anti American regime, even ones as hideous as North Korea.

You seem unable to recognize reality if it bit you in the ass. You have chosen to blindly support some of the worst regimes in the world. It's really rather sad that you can't seem to figure out that you simply wouldn't have the right you are exercising now if you lived under some of the countries you love so much. North Korea, for instance, would simply have you sent to a camp and shot.

Actually, I'm one of those veterans that has secured you the right to say whatever you want, and I'm sure all hell gonna' say what I want. My words come from experience and knowledge. You just do the "pete and repeat" on subjects you are totally ignorant of.

Just to lay out Dave Fagan logic--- you supposedly fought for the right to free speech.....so you turn around and bash the United States, supporting countries with no free speech and who routinely execute people for attempting to exercise it.

I bash the USA for instigaging "regime change" violently in Nations that have not attacked or threatened us. That would include Vietnam, Granada, Libya, Syria, Chile, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Somalia, Iraq, most of Latin America, Panama, Haiti, Cuba, and the list goes on. End of story.
