China says Trump wants 'regional hegemony' in South China Sea

I repeat. How many warships has China got off your Western seaboard ?

Come to that how many wars has she initiated in the last 50 years and how many military bases has she built to encircle you ?

Stick with your programming bud

You can wait ten more years to find out, however, we won't wait and it won't ever occur.

Soviet Union put missiles in Cuba because they'd thought they could get away with it. It was a globally horrible experience and they did not accomplish their purpose or goal.

Moscow would have put missiles in Canada had they thought they could get away with it, which they well knew was an absolute impossibility.

CCP Dictator-Tyrants will do whatever they believe they can get away with at a particular or a given time, place, circumstance. They therefore have lot of severely costly lessons to learn, just like their evil empire predecessors.

If CCP Dictator-Tyrants are willing to go to war over Taiwan, then there will be one. If it becomes necessary, Taiwan -- or the South China Sea -- will be Beijing's Cuba except the Dictator-Tyrants will lose too, same as the USSR lost.

You're backing the wrong horse.

How many naval battlegroups has China sent to bully other countries with then and how many conflicts has she initiated ?

The USA isn't bullying anyone. It is protecting free trade and watching what is happening.

China has been intimidating, ramming fishing fleets, and boarding ships in international waters for decades.

Don't you ever grow tired of the hyperbole?

I can't help but think that part of the aggressiveness we are seeing from our adversaries is the result of a decline in U.S. military strength. Another part of it is eight years of a President whose foreign policy--if it can be dignified as that--has often seemed to be designed to harm the very nation whose interests he was supposed to be defending. For the next month, this country's adversaries have a golden chance to challenge us, secure in the knowledge that President Limpwrist will do little or nothing in response. God willing, this dangerous trend will start to change on January 20.

That is rightwing pulp. The standard rightwhinge line that goes nowhere. Political spam.

President Obama was elected then reelected to bring the troops home, which is what he did.

Barack Obama was what the majority of Americans wanted at the time and throughout most of his two terms.

Only with the arrival of Donald Trump into the 2016 campaign for Potus did that begin to accelerate. By the time Trump starting cranking up his campaign, eight years of continued if downscaled foreign military involvement had passed.

Now the voters who elected Trump want America to stop being the world policeman while also making America great again. In Trump's bizarre world, less foreign involvement while carpetbombing terrorists and going after their families is consistent.

Be prepared for the coming soon President Trump to make things a lot worse.

You in your machine recitation mode haven't any idea or concrete clue what Trump is going to do about the SCS. If anything.

PRC is preparing for the worst given Trump's statements on Taiwan and given they now know Trump is surrounded by Taiwan liberationists, which is positive. But no one knows where this is going, first and foremost Donald Trump.

Your posts to the thread came in with a cloud :2fog:

BS the US knows exactly what it is doing and thankfully so far China isn't playing along so its going to cost you more than it costs them and they know this

Won't wait for what exactly ? Them overtaking you economically perhaps

What has that to do with China ?

Moscow would have put missiles in Canada had they thought they could get away with it, which they well knew was an absolute impossibility.

So where didn't the US site missiles when it was surrounding the USSR then ?

CCP Dictator-Tyrants will do whatever they believe they can get away with at a particular or a given time, place, circumstance. They therefore have lot of severely costly lessons to learn, just like their evil empire predecessors.

So far they have pulled 600 million of their citizens out of poverty in the last 15 years whilst the only thing your system has done over that period is greatly increase destitution and shrink your middle class by a third

This is China's economic sphere of influence it most certainly isn't yours so I'd suggest you face up to the new realities

The thread is about the South China Sea and Donald Trump as Potus. We will find out what a Potus Trump will do about SCS to include Taiwan. No one first and foremost Donald Trump yet knows what or how it will develop...except that China loses and it will lose big time.

The argument about the CCP-state-corporate command economy is another topic. The whole of the PRC, first and foremost the CCP Dictator-Tyrants in Beijing, are in a huge upset over the Taiwan and the SCS thingy. Same as you, CCP Dictator-Tyrants and the sheeple of the PRC are focused on economic growth and global expansion of CCP Tyrants' power, influence, authority. If that is what you want, then that would make you a CCPFanboy.

You are in fact a Fanboy of the CCP Dictator-Tyrants of Beijing. Trump raising antagonisms between CCP Dictator-Tyrants and the USA is already adversely impacting the CCP economy, domestically and globally.

This is because the Chinese Communist Party owns its personal toy and plaything, the People's Republic of China. The Party is supreme. The party secretary of a province, for example, outranks the governor who only answers to the Party secretary of the province. The PLA is not a state armed force but, rather, it is the military arm of the political Party.

Xi Jinping is the president of PRC and, more recently due to his Mao-comparable power, commander in chief -- of the Party's corrupt, bloated and inept armed force. First and foremost however Xi Jinping is the general secretary of the CCP.

The biggest concern over Trump, Taiwan, SCS is that this conflict will become a clash of some sort -- not likely to be a big one -- and the fact has already begun to impede economic growth and development of the CCP China.

Growth is already slow, GDP is declining, there are housing bubbles bursting, banking bubbles ready to burst, a shadow banking bubble that is huge and ripe to burst, capital markets remain closed as always to foreigners which means the rmb is going nowhere globally, the rmb needs another 20% of devaluation my god, provincial and local government debt is beyond managing, corruption and Xi's campaign to reduce it significantly has in fact and number one removed all of Xi's political adversaries while radically reducing spending due to fears by officials of prosecution, thus strangling the economy.

Your arguments for the CCP economy are uninformed, ill informed, badly based, erroneous in the direction of it. Daiwa Securities which was the first to call the housing bubble burst already occurring, has projected that the CCP capital market will fall to the extent that by 2020 GDP will be off by 20%. The radical fall is expected to begin toward the end of next year and throughout 2018.

Methinks Donald Trump's advisors on Taiwan and the CCP know where things are going and they're going to exploit them to the maximum, as well they should and good on them when they do...and as we see, it's already begun.

Me is certain you are backing the wrong horse. One can tell immediately because you are walking directly behind it instead of riding on it.

Perhaps it would be better for him just to bow to the inevitable. China seems very uninterested in your provocations and knows it will win economically in the long run anyway. Your one sided arms race already consumes half your tax dollars

You elect cartoon characters into office who couldnt be more unsuitable if you tried. The Trump presidency is the greatest threat we have faced since the Cold War ended in my view

Their economic growth is still more than double yours so I wouldn't wave the flags too hard just yet

You are simply talking up problems that have been around for decades in order to cobble together a case for your provocation of China nothing more. Thankfully they seem smart enough to know this,

Your posts are full of pronouncements that are summary and arbitrary -- out of the blue (or red CCP flag perhaps). No data, no facts, no nuthin except declarations. Moreover, you are not the only one present who has experience in CCP China, living and working there.

Your pronouncements about CCP economy are the same wishes as the CCP Dictator-Tyrants have, nothing more. They are wishes. Dominate eventually by economics, not by war or hostile conflict. This is not what is in fact occurring, it is rather what the hope is. Plans and hopes are however fast evaporating.

Trump speaks directly to this hope and wish by CCP Dictator-Tyrants in Beijing. Trade, currency, opening the CCP capital market to U.S. corporations, banks, investors and the like, are in the Trump demands.

CCP Dictator-Tyrants in Beijing are going nuts over Donald Trump. Trump is characteristically going right at 'em. He's focused on their economics and finance, trade, currency, the works. His high level advisors on CCP-Taiwan meanwhile are strongly pro democratic Taiwan and hostile to the CCP Dictator-Tyrants in Beijing. Trump's China-Taiwan people are strong on stopping and turning back the CCP Dictator-Tyrants in the South China Sea.

By this time next year the always hostile toward CCP in Beijing Congress will have passed a half-dozen new laws in all of these areas and then some. Potus since Nixon through Obama have sat on the Congress not to act on or to follow their hostility toward CCP. No more. Trump calling CCP Dictator-Tyrants to account makes him their guy in the Congress, the first Potus to agree with both chambers of the Congress to set

Bust.

All great powers have gone through this when they can see the end of their world hegemon on the horizon ,often with increased militirization in an attempt to delay the inevitable bankrupting them towards their end.

I suspect China's upcoming one will be rather more benign than most given Chinese history

Idiotic.

America has no business trying to rule the South China Sea. And trying to be THE world power is an expense America can no longer afford. She should concentrate on her economy...not her military or nonsensical neo con ambitions.

As for trade with China...if Trump starts a trade war with China - all he will do is hurt American consumers by getting a few more low paid American jobs.
Only macroeconomic ignoramuses think protectionism is good for America.

The iron laws of history are popular on that side over there from Beijing to England.

The CCP Dictator-Tyrants in Beijing who still teach Marxist theory in the schools figure it's guaranteed the hidden iron laws are behind 'em. Sort of like the defunct USSR that liked to say they were the "wave of the future."

CCP are a new dynasty of emperors in business suits. CCP Dynasty are well aware they are a new and young dynasty as China dynasties go. Which in the 21st century makes the CCP Dynasty of nasties a nervous dynasty. So CCP Dictator-Tyrants have the 850,000 People's Armed Police specifically to protect the CCP in power in the country. This is beyond the ordinary flatfoot unarmed Public Safety Police who watch traffic and don't catch crooks.

We don't know how many CCP Donald Trumps there are in the CCP Party-Government compound ZhongNanHai off Tiananmen Square because it is not a public government. All the same, when we look at CCP policies in the South China Sea we see there are a lot of Donald Trumps in the CCP. Problem for CCP Dictator-Tyrants is that the real and only Trump the American is about to bring CCP to book.

Further proof exists of the CCP Dynasty in Beijing's screaming rejection of the ruling in July by the U.N. sponsored Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague that the CCP Dynasty in the South China Sea is in an a near absolute violation of the U.N. Treaty on the International Law of the Sea. CCP signed the bugger Treaty in 1994, however, that was when they liked it because the had nothing cooking at the time. CCP was never going to honor the UNCLOS. Never.

Try and accept your approaching demise with a bit more grace. I doubt China will give you the war you want because she doesn't have to so learn to deal with the new realities

China still smarts from its Hundred Years of Shame (c 1840-1950). It is in fact the Hundred Years of Consequence. From which China learned nothing.

While CCP sees it as 'shame', it was (and remains) the Hundred Year Consequence of their smug arrogance and superiority complex that came back to smack the Central Kingdom in the face. From which China learned nothing (or did I say that already?).

The posts are likewise vacuous pronouncements and declarations rooted in the same fatal flaws. CCP believes Nazi Germany was too small to conquer and rule the world, and that China does not have that problem. And that the CCP are smarter than the Nazi Party. Smarter than the CCCP.

CCP Dictator-Tyrants.

The Central Fatal Flaw.

Delegates sit at the stage before the opening ceremony of 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, November 8, 2012.

I observed a shift in Chinese attitudes during three visits to the country in 2012, 2013, and 2014.

As was my usual custom, I met with scholars at the country’s major think tanks, whom I’d come to know well over decades. I directly asked them about a “Chinese-led world order” — a term that only a few years earlier they would have dismissed, or at least would not have dared to say aloud. However, this time many said openly that the new order, or rejuvenation, is coming, even faster than anticipated. When the U.S. economy was battered during the global financial crisis of 2008, the Chinese believed America’s long-anticipated and unrecoverable decline was beginning.

I was told — by the same people who had long assured me of China’s interest in only a modest leadership role within an emerging multipolar world — that the Communist Party is realising its long-term goal of restoring China to its “proper” place in the world.

Top US analyst: It's becoming clear we have made 5 dangerously wrong assumptions about China | Business Insider

You and your Dictator-Tyrants in Beijing are only now beginning to be delivered to their "proper place" in the world. It is going to be a series of hard lessons because in China the heads are hard -- hard as jade. Thousands of years of it are not uprooted overnight. It must necessarily occur in a series of steps and stages.

Taiwan is the new U.S. starting point along with the CCP choice of the South China Sea. CCP have suddenly now lost the initiative. For good. It's only shocks from here on out.

China had fallen off the end of the earth by the 15th century.

By that time it anyhow had become the Millennium of the West.

The China Century is already over, not 20 years into it.

The continuing fatal flaw of China is evidenced in the manifestation presented by the new dynasty of emperors in business suits, i.e., the CCP Dictator-Tyrants in Beijing.

Dictator-Tyrants.

You are just smarting because she is beating you and is doing so with a form of government you dislike.

All the US has left is to throw its toys out of the pram and attempt to provoke military confrontation

Just as a heads up your 'land of the free' locks up more of its citizens per capita than any other nation on earth ...,....including China

The CCP Dictator-Tyrants in Beijing have more than a form of government I dislike. The authoritarian sob's have a form of government I detest, and I detest dictatorship even more than the CCP Dictator-Tyrants despise and detest democracy.

Kim Philby and the Cambridge Five died and were buried in the former Soviet Union and, while their traitor graves are still there, the USSR is long gone already. Coming soon for the CCP and its wholly owned subsidiary, the PRC. So claim you own spot there soon, if not sooner.

We all know how many people are in jail as you call it in the USA. We don't know how many people are in prison in the CCP. CCP provides what its own Prime Minister Li Kijiang said ten years ago to be data that are "man made." Li the Party lawyer is fluent in English so he knows how to express these things. Li was originally speaking to the U.S. Ambassador in 2007 and in respect of GDP data at a time when Li was governor of a developing province. The 'man made' data have only become even more man-made since the CCP economy began to tank.

I sense from your post that your reaction and response to the current developments are to get your back up. Same as what's happening in Beijing. The times they're a-changin' under our noses.

CCP have lost the initiative. The rmb is going nowhere except down lower and lower. Trump will work with CCP but only if CCP reciprocates. So it is ominous CCP are reacting only with upset, panic, anger, and by placing their hand in a cookie jar in taking a drone. Doesn't look good for CCP Dictator-Tyrants in Beijing. There's still time but as the Tyrants have said repeatedly, there are things that for them are not negotiable. Absolutists are that way, if you know what I mean...

Vacuous.

Which is because sooner rather than later one runs out of glib and facile replies. The arbitrary and summary diktats quickly become repetitive, empty, meaningless.

There is indeed not much at all, if anything, to say in advocacy of the CCP Dictator-Tyrants in Beijing and their massively corrupt Party toy the PRC.

Yes, pronouncing and declaring in the absence of facts and data, not to mention analysis, is a fail. That means the CCP and their Fanboyz, together.

Xi Jinping on assuming power in 2013 proposed to Potus Obama a "new great power relationship," meaning a G-2 of USA and CCP Dictator-Tyrants in Beijing divvying up the world. Potus Obama rejected it outright. No need. No desire. The mindset is in fact solicitous, offensive, effectively a prayer.

Number One CCP Dictators are not a great power. Number Two the world would not accept it. Number Three CCP Dictators need USA far and far more than USA needs CCP Dictators or their PRC. If USA does, in fact, need CCP at all.

You are backing the wrong horse. It's something you might want to consider and to think about.

Your opening words "time will tell" are perfectly trite, mundane, glib. The vacuous nature of the posts are remarkable in themselves.

CCP Dictator-Tyrants in Beijing had been laughing at Trump too. Now they're seeing their grandiose designs and plans go up in smoke, to include in economy and global expansion. Trump suddenly has CCP Tyrants wondering if they can hold onto Taiwan and what of their actions in the South China Sea would be considered dangerous to a Potus Trump.

I did not vote for Trump nor do I support Trump generally.

I am as a CCP hawk encouraged however that Potus-Elect Trump has set the whole of the PRC into a spinning tizzy by his Taiwan actions. Everyone in the PRC fears accurately that there's a lot more coming out of the Trump flamethrower. They know the good freewheeling dayze are over and gone. Nobody wants or will resort to nukes so don't take that one to the bank either. (Especially a CCP crumbling bank.)

So the fox is now the hunted. His fur will look fine placed up and over the mantle. The hunt is just beginning. Wait till the start horn sounds, after January 20th.

Btw, have you reserved your spot yet in the CCP's PRC...
