Another bummer. Grammy and Emmy winner Adam Schlesinger.
Adam Schlesinger, the prolific songwriter and member of Fountains of Wayne and Ivy, is said to be desperately ill after being infected with the novel coronavirus.“Sad news friends,” reads a post from an Ivy fan account, which reports Schlesinger has been on a ventilator for two weeks and is in a medically-induced coma with COVID-19 symptoms.

That's super sad. That Stacy's Mom song is absolute trash but they released a lot of great songs. Top notch writing. I hope he pulls through.

No No No...that song, and the video too, are great fun....the opposite of trash.
 
My counselor at summer camp always claimed that he was an original member of Fountains of Wayne, who quit the band before they got signed.

I don't know if I take his claims seriously, but he was definitely friends with them, they played a show at my camp that summer. I always liked them.

I hope he recovers.
 
Ugh, RIP. FoW is a likable band and I love their music. :(
