One of my most favorite actors! I'd watch him read a grocery list. Compelling and always human in his roles.

He quit acting in 2003, and why not, he was 83.

Gene Hackman is a consummate craftsman- a great supporting actor and lead actor to boot. In fact my favorite GH movies are the ones where he isnt even in the lead like Downhill Racer and Bonnie & Clyde. Pity he doesnt act anymore but he deserves a good life in retirement.
