RIP RIC Ocasek

Bye Bye Love

Hard to even comprehend that he was seventy-five years old, or that he was divorced from Paulina.
Wow, The Cars...a group from the 80's and the lead guy is gone.
Hard to wrap my brain around that.

well of course its sad but not as bad as when Ben Orr died of pancreatic cancer at 53.

You got to admire a goofy looking guy who scored a gorgeous wife like P2

The Cars were a great band before Phoebe Cates but after...they became immortal.

Rest in peace, Ric Ocasek.

Loved this guy and the Cars!

Shake it up! Just what I needed!

RIP Ric Ocasek.

Always elegant. How many in the world of pop music could wear a cravat without being pretentious? He'd dine at the Quilted Giraffe or the Odeon, comfortable up and downtown.

Just What I Needed still fresh as when it was first recorded.

Edie Money also passed this week at 70. Both are immortal.

RIP guys. You were loved by the audience.

Ouch. RIP. The Cars were big in the early 80's, and everyone hummed their songs in school.

Sad.

One of the few new wave bands that were still true to rock.

It's like all of 70's and 80's rock is dying.

Yet Mick and Keith continue to rock on like immortals...

Damn, I keep getting older and older, no way I though ol Ric was 75.
There goes any chance of any new GOOD Weezer ever coming out.

RIP Ric.

RIP Ric.

We’re planning to do Two Tickets to Paradise at a gig in NJ Thursday in remembrance of Eddie. Unfortunately I haven’t played a Cars tune years.

One of my wife’s favorite stories from her teen years is borrowing her cousin’s wheelchair - the cousin had injured her foot and couldnt walk for a couple of weeks - and using it to do wheelies to “Moving in Stereo”.

Works for Trump!:lamo

Rest peacefully Ric.

Oh TD, as usual your so far off the mark.

As a gay man I can only say the idea of Trump naked is enough to make me vomit. With that albino ferret on his head, that orange skin, fat arse, and how shall we say, stubby mushroom fingers, he could not write me a check with enough zeros to get me in the bed chamber. I cant blame Marla for getting with the hot young chauffeur.

Now dont you feel stupid with your flippant remark?

don't you feel stupid for trying to introduce TDS nonsense in a thread about a singer.?

Sad news. The Cars debut album is one of those rare, perfect albums.
