This is going to be a killer show. Half of Mr Bungle — Mike Patton on vocals, Trey Spruance on guitar and Trevor Dunn on bass; along with the mighty Dave Lombardo of Slayer fame on drums, and Scott Ian of Anthrax fame on guitar.

Three cities only. I got my ticket for the Brooklyn, NY show. Who else is going?

Nope, but I'm seeing the Black Keys in Oct., and Tool in Nov.

I wanted to see Tool, but face value tickets are like $150 for decent seats, let alone resale prices. I’m already going to see the Melvins in Oct, Slayer in Nov, and Mr Bungle in Feb, so I guess I can’t complain too much.

Wow, I'm jealous. Trey Spruance was the guitar player on FNM's excellent album King For a Day. His playing was killer on that album, influenced a ton of bands that went on to imitate his riffs, but not as well. And Dave Lombardo drumming for Bungle.... Jaw drop.

King For A Day is my favorite FNM album. And, yes, Lombardi ****ing rocks. Have you listened to Dead Cross? Mike Patton, vocals; Dave Lombardo, drums; and a bass player and guitar player from a couple of hardcore bands.

Very underrated album, IMO, as is Angel Dust. Those two albums forever ended the comparisons to RHCP. Only FNM could make a song called Cuckoo for Caca, and have you humming the melody line.

Big fan of Lombardo's drumming, which set the bar pretty damn high for metal drummers from then on. I'll have to check out Dead Cross. Thanks for the recommend.
