Fragmentation of Streaming Services

I have Dish Network, expensive, and also have Netflix and Amazon Prime. I pay an additional $5 per month for ESPN+.

I don't want to pay any additional dime for anything else.

This issue is spreading everywhere. Not only all of these paid streaming services, but also, the issue of exclusive content only in certain platforms. Now, sports are being hit, too. My most preferred college sports are ACC football and ACC basketball. Guess what? They started the ACC Network, and it is not carried by Dish Network. There is no other way to subscribe to it independently. Their streaming service only works if you are already a subscriber in one of the platforms that carry it.

So now I can't watch a large number of ACC games, which before, were on free broadcast TV, or on ESPN and its various channels. No longer. Good bye ACC. I'm really irritated.

4K is UHD. Y’all may not have UHD there yet? Everything I buy now, I buy in 4K if it’s available, or UHD.
I used to do just disks, but it was just too much trouble to store them and browse through them.

The codes I get say they are only good for the 1080p version and there are like three different services you can redeem them on, all garbage. Google Play sells and rents 4K movies but they are often the same of more expensive than the actual disc.

4K and UHD are 3840 by 2160 resolution, so far better than 1080p. If you are into digital codes, my go to is a place called hdmoviecodes.com. Entirely legal. You are just buying the digital code instead of the physical copy. Between Vudu and hdmoviecodes.com, that’s where all my movies and tv series’ come from now.
