Grace Slick, Janis Joplin, Pat Benatar, are a few, off the top of my head.
Just being obstinate... ;)

Turtle, I must say you are pulling out some gems with uriah heap and cream.

Chris Cornell's vocal performance on Slaves and Bulldozers

In 77 I saw the second of two LZ concerts at the infamous venue where a bunch of people were killed watching the Who a couple years later. 18 years later, I saw Page and Plant there. Without a doubt, his best vocal performance was "the Song Remains the Same. Sadly, I never saw Cornell live

Just to name a few,....Jim Morrison, Robert Plant, Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Also had the honor and pleasure of seeing Blind Faith, as well as Cream.---Presence of the Lord was awesome. Of course, can't mention Blind Faith without mentioning Clapton--- Tears in Heaven and Layla.

I never met him but a guy from my HS was a key part of the SF music scene. when our school had its 50th anniversary, they had pictures of their two most famous alums. One was a green beret "cleaner" that apparently was the role model for Martin Sheen's role in Apocalypse now. The other guy-shown in 59 wearing a tux and playing a 10K violin and later with a "fro" and an electric violin at Hinterland-Dave Frieberg (QSMS, JA, JS)

My favorite vocal lead that EC did is "let it rain" Presence of the Lord is the ultimate Wah Wah pedal tune. Other good vocals from SW include John Barleycorn must Die and Can't find my way home. Fellow Traffic guitarist and vocalist Dave Mason had some good ones with "Vagabond Virgin, and Paper Son.

Balin was awesome-another guy from my hometown. Caroline is a real gem. Sunshine is one of the best songs ever though I like white room better.

Clapton has such an extensive plethora of work, it's really hard to come up with his top 10 or 20 hits, IMO. Wonderful Tonight, just came to mind.

This is the correct choice "in harmony."

Yeah, the harmonies between Paul Kantner, Grace Slick, David Frieberg and Jorma Kaukonen in "Thirty Seconds over Winterland are pretty amazing. Same with the late greats Steve Marriott (Small Faces then Humble Pie) and Ronnie Lane (SF)

Truth-same with LZ or the Stones. While I cannot think of a Jagger vocal performance that makes my list-he had dozens I really liked including Back Street Girl (wonderful singing) and of course Gimme Shelter and Streetfighting Man
