Ford V Ferrari looks... damn good.

This is a film to look forward to.

No one saw the Ford GT40 coming, no one on the other side of the pond thought it could do what it did, and in the end it forever changed endurance racing.

That looks great. Can't wait to see it.

I sure do hope they have a few of these in the movie...they were damn good cars, too.

Cobra Car Club - Home | Facebook

https://scatracks.org/

The now defunct AC Cobra Club sponsored an annual 1,400 mile road rally on back roads between Jamestown NY and Plattsburgh NY open to original, restored AC Cobras and replicas. The rally was run for 27 years commencing in 1964. Not one driving team ever completed the rally. Vehicle reliability was the main issue. More than 200 cars annually participated in the rally, with a peak run of more than 600 vehicles in 1988. Keep in mind, a rally is not a race. The objective, to get from point A to point B in a given time period, neither under or over the time period with staggered starts for each entry, continuing the next day from pt C to D, and so on. Shelby himself never participated in or endorsed the rally. Today, when some of the early replicas hit the auction market, if of high quality, sell for upwards of $500k. More rare AC Cobras occasionally hit the auction market for prices greater than $1 mil. One 1966 Super Snake sold for $5.1 mil at auction, plus auction commission of about $400k.

18,000 AC Cobras were sold by Ford through dealers. More than 60,000 replicas have been built. The original AC Cobras were sold for about $20-22k in 1962. A decked out Lincoln Continental 4 door Convertible sold for about $6,700, Ford's then most expensive car other than the Cobras. Also the only 4 door convertible on the market, and it had suicide doors.
