I'm of the unwavering opinion that an action movie is never as good as its trailer... but as a old guy who grew up on Godzilla movies, I'm hoping this will at least come close....

... but that is one hell of a trailer.

This is the movie I am waiting to see. I think that it will be pretty good. Too bad we know Big G is going to make it out in the end so he can fight King Kong. Still it looks good.

Though I wasn't crazy about the 2014 GODZILLA, I liked the KONG SKULL ISLAND flick from the same company, so I'm hoping the producers bring their A-game once more.

That looks freaking awesome! Old girl here who loved Godzilla back in the day :)

I was ****ing stoked right from the first trailer, still excited but lately I have started to worry about the prospect that they are trying to do waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much in this film, that it will devolve into a Special Effects disaster by having all these monsters and the best parallel I can make is like, the end fight scene in Man of Steel where it just goes on forever and its boring as **** and you don't care by the end of it.

Godzilla 2014 was ok, it had issues, it was quite corny in places and kind of drifted off a bit from a strong start with Cranston, but overall was a good starting point, I just hope they don't overextend themselves with this film and do too much.

I'm still excited, wanna try to get to the very first showing though, I am stoked.

Yeah, it is kind of funny seeing the peripheral discussions revolving around actual screen time dedicated to monster fights as if that is the measure of a movie. Though I guess for the 8 year old inside me there is truth to that ... current rumor is something like 70 some minutes of monster fights, 60 some minutes of people talking about monsters fighting.

I also wasn't as down on Godzilla 2014 as some, though the exit of Cranston from the story felt like an old B-Movie contract dispute rather than a plot twist, if you know what I mean.

Back in the day we used to take turns holding the foil on the UHF antenna just to watch the godzilla movies on Creature Double Feature. I've yet to see one remake that captured those correctly...but this trailer looks pretty damn good!

The only thing missing is Millie Brown really should be wearing shorts, a long sleeve sweater, and a red baseball cap. ;)

hahah exactly. Couldn't hurt to have a badly timed voice over somewhere either.

Y'know, one would think that after 60 damned years people would have figured out that shooting Godzilla with a rifle is simply a waste of ammunition. They've tried it every movie and it hasn't worked once but they keep on going for it.
