Overplayed songs.

Nickelback was one band I could not get into. During their heyday, the local alternative station played the dog piss out of their music, especially the repetitive How You Remind Me ("Yet, yet, yet, no, no, yet, yet, yet, no, no, yet, yet, yet, no, no, yet, yet, yet, no, no... " :doh).

Smells like Teen Spirit got burned-though Weird Al's video send up of that song made it all worthwhile.
 
I would like to nominate John Lennon's Working Class Hero and Imagine; two highly overrated songs with garbage lyrics. I cannot even stand the piano riff in Imagine because that one if overplayed too.
