British indie band Her's on US tour killed in fiery car crash
Both members of popular British indie band Her’s were killed, along with their tour manager, in a fiery car crash while driving to their next gig in California.
Liverpool rockers Stephen Fitzpatrick, 24, and Audun Laading, 25, were driving from Phoenix, Arizona, to play in Santa Ana with tour manager Trevor Engelbrektson when tragedy struck early Wednesday, the BBC reported.
The band’s record label Heist Or Hit called the duo — who had just released debut album “Invitation To Her’s” — “one of the UK’s most loved up and coming bands.”
“We are all heartbroken. Their energy, vibrancy and talent came to define our label,” a spokesman for the label told the outlet. “The world was at their feet.”
The crash came just days after the band boasted on Facebook that the “US tour has gone swimmingly so far.”
Jesus, another one? About a few years ago I posted an article about an Brit band whose members all died when their car plunged over a bridge in Sweden, now its happened again. Seems there must be a curse on young Brit bandmembers going on tour.

Wow, that really is a shame. I hadn't heard of them but I immediately decided to give the song a listen. I really like this kind of music too. And the track is really good. These guys were talented. How awful what happened, such young lives cut short. It has not escaped my notice that it took their deaths for me to even become aware of their music, thanks to your post. That is sad.

When listening though I tried to imagine them as lively young people, as they were when recording the song; and not dwell on what happened. I may seek out some of their other songs too. Thanks for sharing.
