Yeah, yeah, it is a silly contest that only considers celebrities but silly can be fun.

This year they named Idris Elba their Sexiest Man Alive

I had been expecting this one for several years now. Now if they could finally get around to making him James Bond I might take interest in the franchise again.

Oh yeah.:cool::applaud:applaud

I first saw him in an action movie, The Losers, which focused on a team of 5 hot guys and a hot villain. And one hot woman.

It was a pretty fun movie.

Maybe. That mousy guy is like "what?"

I first saw Elba in a series called “Luther.” I enjoyed it and am not sure if I remember seeing him in anything else. As to 007, that franchise died when Sean Connery left. I have watched a few Daniel Craig versions and was entertained, but not the same for me.

He was in two of my favorite TV shows of all time: The Wire and The Office. Two very different shows.

I do remember the Wire, geezed......Stringer Bell. I am always amazed at the Brit actors that can master US dialogue w/o a trace of UK.......Band of Brothers comes to mind, thanks, Bob

DP posting or People Magazine, you made the correct choice.........

They wanted me to fly and stay in a hotel, pics, interview... all that crap. Like I want their free drinks.

House.... Hugh Laurie auditioned for the part even after the director nixed English actors..... Supposedly the director exclaimed "This is what I want. A real American guy"

Yeah, in Hollywood when they talk about “foreigners taking our jobs” they are usually referring to Brits and Aussies. :)
