New Amsterdam and Manifest..

I like both shows so far, but New Amsterdam's last episode got politcal, which I tend to despise. I go to TV to escape the burdens of today, not relive them, and I wish more shows would avoid being political.. In any event I plan to keep watching it, as I like the characters so far. Manifest, is intriguing as well. Anyone else watching these shows?

I watched a little bit of Manifest, on recommendation. They're really trying for a Lost vibe, but I just can't bring myself to care about what's going on, either what or why.

The lead actress is terrible, and her character is one those stock selfish/annoying people that most normal people would avoid, yet everyone in the show seems to think is the greatest.

History detectives on the history channel is about it for me.

Lost, was great right up until the final episode.. LOL What a let down that was.. I like the lead female character, but to each is onw I guess.

I will give those two shows a shot. But remember. If they both suck you will be ruining Teevee for the rest of my life. ( my favorite movie is still The Flim Flam Man. ............that and Joe Kid )
 
Manifest is a good show, imo. I agree it's gunning for the Lost vibe, but if you can see it as a separate show, then it's a pretty good show. It's interesting seeing the characters find the pieces to their puzzle. The main premise of the show is also really intriguing for me. I mean, how can you explain coming back after being missing for 5 years? What happened to the plane? What happened to the passengers? Such questions that keep me up all night.
