I love Willie Nelson

Only one Willie album........Waylon and Willie;

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waylon_&_Willie

I really hate to do this to you, but....there is no choice. :bs

Willie Nelson is really only "Willie Nelson" playing live, in front of an audience. That album is much like a Grateful Dead fan picking one of their studio albums as the ONE best recording.... It's just....wrong.

So while I appreciate your choice, and agree it's an excellent one, it's just not THE one.

I remember another album from the 70s where he sang old standards, plus another with Roy Price. And the other great duet live single about the good hearted woman.

Somehow don’t think Willie is a Cruz type of guy.

He's a Kinky kind of guy. ;)

I can't agree. The Townes Van Zandt song (poem, really) is marvelous.

Kinky's best album: Sold American.

Fun fact: I supported him for Governor, and so did my Salon-and-New-Yorker liberal sister. Why the hell not? *

*This was Kinky's campaign slogan.

If I remember correctly Kinky was also often quoted saying: "How hard can it be?"

Tell it, Kinkster!

Kinky IMHO was probably one of the best candidates for governor.

I thought so. (Texas is a "weak governor" state.)

From Fox News:

Singer Willie Nelson said Tuesday he wasn’t bothered by the backlash he has received over the decision to headline a rally for Texas Democratic Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke.

When asked by the hosts of “The View” about his fans’ reaction to him headlining for O’Rourke, Nelson replied “I don’t care.”

Poor Trump supporters. Now they don't have either Willie Nelson or tennis shoes. They are now forced to go barefooot to Justin Bieber concerts. Sucks to be them. LOL.

Texas is also a weak Congress state. Congressional sessions in Texas are every 2 years. The real power in Texas rests with the Commissions.

I agree. Mostly being sarcastic, which I hope was obvious, but my own personal preference is given the choice - his entire studio library, or his live music library, I'd choose the latter and never look back. That's my overall preference. I just prefer the live stuff if the band/artist is good. :peace

I like that Toby Keith song about Willie.

Ah, yes, the one that references (not by name) the time Willie was popped in Buda (pronounced "Bew-dah") for the roach in his vehicle's ashtray.
