I'm watching the Last Crusade right now, and this has to be one of the top Connery movies of all time. Of course there are the Bond movies as well.

I think "the Rock" has to be high on the list.

Last Crusade. No question.

From Russia with Love, Dr No, The Man Who Would be King, A Bridge Too Far, Outland, The Hunt for Red October

Red October was good.

And finding forester.

The Wind and the Lion
and my favorite all-time prophecy-come-true movie...(drum roll please)

Wrong Is Right.

If you watch it now you mouth will fall open it is so true and correct in its predictions.

1. Terrorists take over a Middle Eastern country.

2. Twin Towers get attacked but it really was the CIA that did it and diffused the two bombs before they blew up. This attack is used as an excuse to go to war.

3. We go to war against that Middle Eastern country...."but don't blow up those oil wells"!

There is more....much much more.

I like him in The Name of the Rose but I'm told it was a blip in an otherwise downward trajectory.

2 underrated ones

The name of the rose
Rising sun

The Rock, Finding Forrester, Hunt for Red October, MANY Bond movies... Rising Sun was an interesting movie. Not his top 10, but interesting...

The man has had a stellar career.

You Only Live Twice. Side note: Roald Dahl wrote the screenplay for the movie.

Any of the Bond flicks are better than the remainder of his stuff, even though most of it was good.

But the best scene he ever did on camera was when Barbara Walters asked him about slapping women.

Can’t believe no one has mentioned The Untouchables yet, also murder on the orient express

My Little Pony: The Movie

Two lesser known Connery films I enjoyed seeing recently on DVD: Cuba and Shalako, a Western with Bridget Bardot.

Hunt for Red October.

He was a stone cold fox in that one and I do prefer him with a full head of hair.

Superb! With Sean attempting to make monokinis on men a fashion statement, and Charlotte Rampling was still hot. Another John Bormann violent orgasm!

I remember laughing when I introduced my kids to "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and, as an adult, realized that the movie was a screen play by Roald Dahl based on a story by Ian Flemming... because of course it was!
