I got the game back when it was first out, hype and all bought hook line and sinker.
Played it a few days, then on the shelf it went gathering dust. But I heard about this awesome new update, so I fried it back up. After nearly 40 hours of play (I am on FMLA and stuck immobile most of the time TYVM) I can say...
I wish I had bought it for the PC, which I will.
Why?
It's not because it's not fun, following the story and building stuff and exploring is better than ever. I figured out most of the new systems, and yes it IS a time sink, but it's an enjoyable experience. The Sentinels are not near as aggressive as they used to be, well unless you land on a planet they KOS, and the added multiship, own a freighter mechanic is great.
What sucks is, and I don't know if this is because I have just a PS4 and not a PRO, but the damn game crashes, a LOT. I just lost 15 min of running about gathering mats for the like the 5th time in a the last 3 hours. So I am over the PS4 version for now. It also has some sound glitches and occasional frame rate issues. After I get some PC time with my gaming rig I'll pass on how it runs.
I do give Hello Games a lot of credit for making this game into what it is, a lto of dev's would have walked after the launch disaster that the game suffered.
