I went into this series not expecting much, but I like historical drama so I decided to give it a go. I'm almost done with season 2 and I'm actually pleasantly surprised. It's not a groundbreaking series by any means, but the characters are interesting, the plot is competently structured and the production values are top notch. For a lesser AMC show that didn't receive much attention, it's worth a watch, especially if you like Revolutionary War material. Currently available on Netflix.

I watched the first season and was instantly turned off and will never watch it again. They made the whole historical aspect of the first spies in the US into a soap opera.

There's definitely soap characteristics added in but I kinda expect that from most shows nowadays. That being said, you probably wouldn't like the later seasons any better cuz they expound on them quite a bit but I've still managed to find the show interesting.
