Watched Sicario 2 last night. I thought the first was better but the 2nd is still fantastic. Both movies are great at constant action while weaving in themes and the main story between the gun battles. Bronin and Del Toro are fantastic together.
One thing I really like about the movies is they tend to live in a grey area. The US doing really bad things to combat peope that do really bad things. There’s a lot of times our govt officials are put between a rock and a hard place and this tends to do that well. Its not preachy.
It also focuses on immigration and Cartels which is pretty timely.
Anyway, I recommend the movie. If you haven’t seen the first Id watch that one. Its the better of the two, but if you liked the first, I think you’ll like the 2nd.
