ABC's 'Roseanne' Spinoff Officially a Go — Without Roseanne Barr

Told ya so.

If she's really sorry about ruining everyone's job, crashing the hopes of cast members who had not yet made it, the writers, the set people and hundreds of others, she'll agree to whatever they want as far as her rights to the show go. She can have partial ownership or revenue share, if that's what it takes, but she should not stand in the way of "The Connors" or any other attempt to salvage the show.

Show won't be the same without her. Might die a slow death.

But at least everyone involved still has income and has some time to make a soft landing in case this is the last season.

And maybe it will surprise me and maintain high ratings.

It won't be the same without Roseanne...nor will it last...:(

Probably.

But Darlene's character could be enough to carry it ... and if Johnny Galecki shows up from time to time that could give the show another lifeline.

It's a talented cast and crew. I'm not optimistic. But I'm not counting them out.

Maybe, but for me it would be like going home again, without my mom there...

How about something different?A show about a low class ignorant liberal family.Archie and Edith Clunker run an abortion clinic.Archie scrapes em,Edith throws em in the incinerator,a job any dingbat can do.Daughter Whoria works the front desk.Whoria has 4 kids from 4 different men.Thats why her husband Mike ran off and joined ISIS.He hates America more than they do.The name of the show?Allah in the Family.

lol...not in a million years...

Have a feeling this show was doomed with or without Roseanne.

Anytime a comedy series starts bringing in new family members to freshen up the place it is a clear sign that the end is near.

Poor ABC, they killed the goose that laid the golden egg. If only we can make the egg without the goose. Take a gander, er, no. I'm straight.

Just copy/paste the racist and Islamophobic cartoons. Describing them in irrelevant threads looks like someone plain desperate to share the hate.

I strongly suspected a spinoff was likely. I have no idea how successful it'll be or whether it'll be successful enough to justify its existence on the network.

I gather it justifies its existence because the network was contractually required to pay the main stars lots of money whether they worked or not.

And it will probably get decent ratings at the start if only from gawkers wanting to see how they settle in after Roseanne's exit.

So the question will be about its continuing existence beyond the first ten episodes.

Overnight the BBC news show on NPR mentioned the new show and I realized how sad I was going to be the Roseanne won't be there. Darn Roseanne for messing up the revival ... but glad they get one last shot.

Good for them, but as for me, I comfortably remain in my "meh" pose. I have not moved in the last year, and I shall keep this path.

It is the easy path and to those with flowery language, Stoablahbah, I say meh. But I don't understand.

As with the reboot of Roseanne, I shall not be watching this either.

If it doesn't have Gordon Ramsay in it, it can piss off.

:lamo

They should hire Sandy Duncan to replace Roseanne, and then they can re-name the show to "Valerie's Family"
