One of the weaker Star Wars films since The Force Awakens. No surprises and totally predictable.

It also really doesnt end- there's plenty of lose plotlines that hasnt been resolved.

The only thing I didnt expect was Darth Maul's cameo.

Aw. Too bad. Still gonna go see it though, never wanna miss a Star Wars movie. Might go see it this weekend.

And holy ****-
's in the movie? Woah.

Just a very short scene, and not even relevant to the main plot.

I never miss a Star Wars movie that comes out but even I am not expecting much.

Sick of all the Stars War and Marvel movies. Same old unoriginal dreck.

I really enjoy them. They are a good time watching them w/ friends and GF. And I love Star Wars to death, so I'm never gonna miss one in theaters if I can help it.

The one SW movie you ought to see is Rogue One if youre tired of unoriginal dreck- that was a very good one.

It was. Definitely my favorite out of the new SW movies so far. And Solo is probably not gonna change that.

Eh, it bores me now. Too much money spent on crap and special effects and endless marketing. Give me a dozen good indie flicks that can be made just with the advertising budget of one tired sequel.

Rogue One is easily one of the best SW movies period. Far better than any of the prequels or sequels.

I have been underwhelmed by all the star wars movies since the prequels so this does not surprise me. But I know I'm weird for liking the prequels more :crazy3:

Rogue one is easily the best Star Wars since 4,5, and 6.

As for Solo, I don't plan on watching it. Last Jedi was the last straw for me. It was a good movie overall but absolute garbage for the franchise.

They should have done more with Maul. I was expecting a scene where he goes ape****, like Vader in Rogue One.

I just watched it. I really enjoyed it, thought it was a good, straightforward action-adventure movie, but yeah the ending could have been better for a standalone movie that isn’t meant to have a direct sequel.

I lost interest after the first Star Wars.

what an absolutely crap film that was, I mean it was passable, barely.

Disney: our audience is dumber than a bag of dicks so for example, he can’t just have his name, we have to show HOW he got his name, because again our audience are idiots and they’ll never be able to understand how he just had his name at the start of the film, that would make no sense.

This point may seem trivial, but it establishes a important presidence for the whole film, this film was dumb, like extremely dumb.

Disney: Lets throw Darth Maul in at the end.

Me: Why? Like, it doesn’t really add anything to the story, kind of, out of place, but wierd to just chuck that in sideways at the end don’t you think?

Disney: meh, we just wanted to **** with the fan boys.

Just a shame, all that money and talent at Disney, just can’t come up with a film that isn’t startlingly mediocre or baseline.

One of my favourite quotes from RedLetterMedia

There was a time, when Star Wars was just a series of well liked blockblusters and now it’s not special anymore.

It’s sporadically interesting

I got out of seeing it a little while ago. I enjoyed it. The unresolved ending makes me feel like this may turn into a series of films, which could turn out to be interesting depending on how it plays out. Though, the last thing I want to happen is for Disney to get into a routine of pumping out SW films.

Um, thats exactly whats happening now. ;)

It was underwhelming, it plods along from predictable point to predictable point. I liked Lando, thought he was way under used. His sidekick's name, officially though not said in the film is L3-37 I found myself thinking Jar Jar had someone to take the heat off him for being most annoying character in a SW flick.

Never bought the kid they got to play Han, as Han. Maybe "Han, the Teenage whining " years. He didn't channel Han, not at all. Maybe I'm spoiled by the Prequals Obi Won GREATNESS, (the only good part of that series IMHO was Ewan McGregor) but this younger version didn't do it. At all.

It is predictable. And it did feel like a checklist of sorts. But it was an enjoyable experience for me. And yeah, Lando should of been in it more. I kinda wanted more interaction between him and Han. L3-37, I actually liked. I thought she was hilarious, and I really liked that whole-
"droid rebellion" she started on the Pyke Mine, with the gonk droid stomping on the control pad.
Her voice reminds me of this YouTuber that I love watching RPGMinx, so maybe that's why I found her so entertaining.

I give it a 7.5. Maybe my problem is that I'm just way too much of a fan of Star Wars to even really give these movies an unbiased review.

Speaking of Ewan McGregor, there is talks of an Obi-Wan movie in the works. I would love to see him get back into that role again. Because you're right, he was awesome as Obi-Wan.
