What are you listening to? ver. 15.0

The ninth and last song for my ”A Life In Black: A Tribute To Johnny Cash” series is here! "Hurt" is originally written by Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails). Johnny made a cover of it at the end of his life. That's the version we all know today. The video alone is incredible and has brought tears to my eyes many times now. I did this song in 2016 as well after some rough times in my life. But it didn't feel right if I'd skip doing it again. I have some weird connection to this song that makes feel afraid of singing it, kind of. It was the hardest song to record mentally. But I really love to sing it as well. It makes me feel many things while it brings images to my mind. No one can do it better than Johnny did though, this is purely a honoring of his work. But I anchor my own life to it in a way as well.

One of our medical students have his headphones in and was doing rounds on he lower floors.

Image how the ward reacted when his jack got pulled out and Slaughter to Prevail starts blasting out of his pocket.

This is why phones are not allowed in the facility.

(sigh).. I can't even listen to music in my office anymore.

If you love somebody set them free. Don't make me repeat myself over and over again.

Ringo Stalin:

I see your Stalinist prancing and raise you a Maoist-Capitalist hybrid production!

You can't go wrong with Bikini Kill!

Cheers and be well.

You can't go wrong with Bikini Kill!
That's for sure. But Maoist dancing girls can't beat gravity as the men of the Stalin's school!
Stalin's dancing girls used rollerscates long before they came into circulation in the West, before Solzhenitsyn sold this secret for the Nobel prize.

With proletarian greetings.
