Neil Young remembering Southern man don't need him 'round anyhow:

'Virus'

We thought we had it all
Thought life would never change
Took it all for granted
And then the virus came
Thought we were the kings and queens
Of all that we could claim
Used our friends the animals
And then the virus came

Lost our way to insanity
There was no one else to blame
Used our world like fireworks
And then the virus came

You know we got the best of us
We did it all ourselves
Left our souls, our sense, our trust
This story ours to tell
No time for sorrow, loss is loss
No pity, pride or shame
We never learn from our mistakes
And then the virus came

This thing we fight so hard to heal
This crazy life we made
Now we know we're not on top
We rained on our parade
Screwed our progress to a mess
Bought and traded pain
Lost our way in paradise
Then the virus came

We thought we had it all
Thought life would never change
Took it all for granted
And then the virus came
Thought we were the kings and queens
Of all that we could claim
Used our friends the animals
And then the virus came

This thing we fight so hard to heal
This crazy life we made
Now we know we're not on top
We rained on our parade
Screwed our progress to a mess
Bought and traded pain
Lost our way in paradise
And then the virus, and then the virus
And then the virus, then the virus came…

This one is honor of Dutch veterans day, it's Di-rect with Soldier on. The song starts at 1 minute 50 or so, hopefully it starts at that moment or else you need to skip to 1.50 for the song. All the people in the video are veterans and at 4 min 53 sec the veteran you see there in his Green army uniform with his red beard is our King (who is also a veteran)

It was the socially distant version of veterans day as it is impossible to be there for so many older veterans and be safe/protect them.

As far as I am concerned there aren't many white guys who can sing the blues or R&B like Delbert McClinton. He's simply one of the best.

There was a time when I would have sworn this song had nothing to do with me. Divorce had set me free. Thank you, Jesus.

It was fun all the way. At the time I just didn't know that I needed any one person in my life. Hell, I was running from it and loving every minute of it. Fun on the run. No regrets.

She just showed up, unexpectedly. Gentle and easy, she scared the double dog hell out of me.

Sing it, Delbert!

She still is.

glad you met your match the second time around, risky

never went to a Delbert show where the ratio of women to men was not at least 2:1. and they knew the words to all his songs. good times thanks to the man who taught John Lennon how to play harmonica

Yeah, thanks, brother. My second time around will be my last time around. She wants us to retire and move back to North Carolina, by the way.

Delbert is awesome. I don't have a bucket list, but if I did in the top 3 would be to see Delbert live Antone's in Austin. That's probably never going to happen so I'll put it on my **** it list.

enjoying bits from the BBC's "The Planets" (2019) soundtrack.

Their sound takes me right back to the '60's...

Herman Cain was just in the news and I always think of “Virgil Caine” when I hear his name......probably politically incorrect in these volatile times, but Levon Helm.....
