Foo Fighters - Everlong

This rainy Sunday morning treat, coffee with a bit of rum as Dog and I try to shake off a bit of chilled bones, toweled him off and my bare feet resting on his belly slowly, gently giving him a rub with my toes. He didn't like the weather, but needed to find the right spot. Those of you live with or have lived with dogs need no explanation. Now a treat for you, lovely 12 year old Elena, the beginning:

still 12, adult chops:

A bit older, a more formal recital, and no score in front of her, yet impeccable timing, accurate and emotive:

She grew up so fast, the miracles of youtube:

Break my heart:

Herb knows talent:

Tomorrow, more, and truly hot.

That's what you need in the time of pandemic

This is our second song written whilst in lockdown, hope you enjoy it and stay safe everyone xx

'Something to Hold on to'

When you're sitting on your own, like the world has turned its back
And you can't go home, cos home is where it's at
Scared for them all, everyone you love and need
This daily toll, the world needs to be freed
This is me and you, we're coming through
Something to hold on to

Looking in the dark, we're strangers in the street
So far apart, with our lives all incomplete
Right down to the hurt, gotta break the chains of hell
Back where we were, wishing we were well
This is all of us, this is me and you
Something to hold on to

Blue, like the colour of the sea
Blue, like the tears from you and me
Blue, I'm calling out to you
This thing we gotta go through
Something to hold on to

Oh blue, like the colour of the sea
Blue, like the tears from you and me
Blue, I'm calling out to you
Thing we gotta go through
Something to hold on to

Lives upside down, don't know just how long for
In every town, on the good side of the law
Laying low and sore, in trouble's hands we are
It's like a war, but no one knows what for
This is the new, waiting in the queue
Something to hold on to

Oh Blue, like the colour of the sea
Blue, like the tears from you and me
Blue, I'm calling out to you
This thing we gotta go through
This thing, something to hold on to
Something to hold on to
Something to hold on to!

As we all stay safe and sane at home, here’s hoping this pause leads to a positive change.

From all of us at Sanborn Sessions: we hope the music can offer some comfort in uncertain times and help spread some positive vibes and love, because a change will come.

Stay safe everyone

With love,
The Sanborn Sessions Team

The Marshall Tucker Band - Fire on the Mountain

Jazz is not only alive and well, it is flourishing. Today I present Christian Scott, an amazing horn man and prolific composer who attracts other talented young musicians like no one else, for new, fresh and exciting music performances. Some of those who you will hear with him, you have heard from me before. Enjoy.
