Chuck Prophet - Summertime Thing

One of America's greatest hard rock bands-this song was written by bassist/Vocalist (and producer of several Cream albums) Felix Pappalardi and his wife (who was responsible for his gun shot death later, but who also wrote some of the lyrics for both Mountain and Cream). Felix and Guitarist Leslie West both did lead vocals (West's most famous is "Mississippi Queen) and Felix is lead vocals here.

On the subject of hard rock

(Full concert, but first is "It's So Easy".

Frankly, I think the Beatles had just about everyone beat with just one song:

And while Sabbath is now called "metal".....was it then? I never bothered to check. I would suspect that it was more of a fringe on hard hard rock given the years involved.... (I can't quickly find any good live versions from '71-78 but didn't spend long)

And then there's Zeppelin. Quite a range of music falls into "hard rock"...

And I can't stress enough: get google chrome and get an equalizer addon for listening to music. If you don't know basic equalizer settings look at the frequencies and look at where they are tuned to in something like iTunes basic settings for rock, classical etc.

Start with that. As you listen. Fiddle. Trial and error. Once you know your way around a bit (best done by working it out yourself), you will be able to massively improve any of these youtube things. And your own music if from CD or whatever. Trust me... if you do this and you haven't, you will thank me

Les's standard show contract included 8 Italian Hero sandwiches, with vinegar on the side, a case of ice cold bottled beer, for him. The rest of the band and staff had to make their own snack after the show arrangements. Les was always generous when picking up the tab for dinner or breakfast.
