1. Fantastic singer

2. She appears to be doing this after a full night (or days) of wonderful insanity. But it's perfect...

One of the great voices in acid rock--the harmonies she did with the late Paul Kantner, Jorma Kaukonen and Marty Balin, were a thing of beauty

Example-

Driving home tonight, the moon was huge and sort of red. and this song came on. Perfect timing

Yes...

I would deal with being Jim Morrison for a night to have had her back then.

Well you could have been

Jorma
Paul
Jack Cassidy
Dave Frieburg

among others

apparently Marty Balin was the only regular in the Airplane who didn't "experience a state of Grace" as Paul K called it.

Speaking of Marty-this is one of the great ballads of the SF rock scene ever. IIRC this was his only real contribution to the Dragonfly album, but it was a winner

I love KC and sunshine Band! Good dance Music back in the day!

:2wave:

I know. It's just that Grace said that Morrison was like "making love to an art form with eyes". LOL...

We can't forget this one. Oh, the memories.

It's on the stereo. Vinyl. Figured people could stream it on their own if they wanted to check it out. Are there rules for this forum? I guess I need to read them.

Just heard this on XM radio, Soul Town channel. Very old but excellent nonetheless.

Love the late 50's early-mid 60's black female groups ... Chantels, Orlons, Crystals, Ronette's, etc.

One more then back to the salt mines. I've got yard work waiting on me. As soon as I'm finished I'm having a big "stanky" cigar. My reward for the day.

Mr. Clarence Carter has had number of hits, all good. This is my favorite. I remember the brothers, the "Soul Patrol", listening to this all the time in Vietnam.

Karl Perkins, if you are out there, I hope you are doing well.

One of the saddest songs ever written. I always tear up and I'm not an Aussie!
