Yes - I've Seen All Good People: Your Move / All Good People

It is St. Patty's today. :)

Great story, Old Fat Guy! What a night.

I too am a big Tito Puente fan. Here's one of my many favorites. How can anyone listen to this and not love Puente?

Tito would regularly shut down a street in East Harlem and with his band play for the people after Sunday church services. Never did he bother with city approvals. The police would show up and join in the festivities, divert traffic. The people would be out dancing in the street, passing paper bags with wine or beer inside, and never was there a problem with any crimes. No fights, no gang nonsense, the people were too happy dancing and partying. One of the best ways to enjoy Tito and the band at their best, especially if Gloria Estefan or Celia Cruz showed up as well. Celia even her mid 70's had the moves.

An old traditional Irish song that Thin Lizzy brilliantly covered;

One of my most favorite Irish authors, playwrights, poets is Brendan Behan.

The Auld Triangle is quite a song. There is quite a story behind it. Behan was quiet a story himself.

Behan was with the IRA as a young guy of 16 and was caught with bomb making material and sentenced to a borstol in England ( Behan wrote the book The Borstol Boy about his experience). Sent to prison yet another time, Mount Joy Prison, Behan wrote the Quare Fellow, a play that opened with poem Auld Triangle which later became a song.

Here it is by the Pogues, who were much influenced by Brendan Behan until his death in 1964.

Behan's final words, on his deathbed speaking to the nun who had taken such good care of him in his final days, "Ah, bless you, Sister, may all your sons be bishops."
