I remember, barely - beer was involved - standing out back at the Pad in Ocean Drive Beach, South Carolina (Ocean Drive is now North Myrtle Beach and sadly the Pad burned down) talking to Mr. Billy Stewart between sets. I don't know how I ended up standing there talking to Billy Stewart but I did. He was a hell of a showman and very popular at the time. No way he should have been talking to a blathered teenager but he did. He was a prince of a guy.
