Greatest hard rock, heavy metal and harder ever (before 1989)

Saxon, I saw these guys once when they opened for somebody... I'd have to look at my concert stubs to see.

I saw Saxon opening for Blue Oyster Cult in 1983 at the Ionia Free Fair. First year the fair had actual rock bands. The local paper thought the most noteworthy item from that show was the lead singer of Saxon saying they got "****faced" the night before. People swearing was apparently controversial.

One of the greatest vocalists, I might not have enjoyed his time with Black Sabbath, being a tremendous Ozzy fan, but this guy has one of the most beautiful hard rock voices ever, pure and simple. Here he is playing with one of the all time greats on guitar, Ronny James Dio and Richie Blackmore's Rainbow with Stargazer:

Ozzy Osbourne Live - I don't know

Fun and something completely different

From out of Nowhere - Faith no More (1989)

GOOD picks there!!!

My very first 'concert' that I attended was Blackmore's Rainbow, July 30, 1976: Dio on vocals, Cozy Powell on drums, it was a GREAT 'first' concert

saw KISS the next month, August, 1976, Destroyer Tour; great show for a 15 year old = Bob Seger & the SBB opened

Saw Ozzy with Randy Rhodes on March 2, 1982; Randy played four shows after I saw him & he was killed in Florida on March 19, 1982

Judas Priest - Stained Class (1978)

Mercyful Fate - The Beginning (1987)

Pantera - Cowboys From Hell (1990)

I have seen exodus, metallica, slayer, kiss, helloween, megadeath, flotsam and jetsam, iron maiden, ozzy, alice cooper, accept and several festivals with a huge number of other bands.

My first concert was Dexy's midnight runners LOL when they had their first hit "come on Eileen". The rest of my concert experiences are hard rock/heavy metal. And I went to the Queen musical "we will rock you" about 6 times.
