Twilight Zone and Night Gallery

When I was in high school I stumbled upon a book on TV sci-fi, and there was an old show with Boris Karloff titled Thriller. I decided to watch a few episodes recently and though its mostly dated- some of it is pretty good.

Rod Serling productions.

Do you like them? Do you not like them? Why or why not?

I love Twilight Zone. Most episodes are very entertaining and often thought provoking.

Night Gallery always scared me as a kid, and I never could get past that initial impression. I sometimes watch it now, but it's kind of weird, too.

Loved both those back in the day, also Outer Limits.

Still watch some of the episodes now and then.

One thing that's great now is seeing mega-stars now when they were young and starting out-e.g. Robert Redford as the Angel of Death. This is what I love about the original "Law and Order," which I'm only just now watching for the first time. So great to see actors back-in-the-day when they were just building their careers.

A lot of stars showed up on the Twilight Zone ...

Robert Duvall, Dennis Hopper, Robert Redford, Burgess Merideth (4 times!), William Shatner (twice), Julie Newmar, Carol Burnett, Ed Wynn, Art Carney, Jack Klugman (twice), Charles Bronson, Donald Pleasence, Jonathan Winters, Mickey Rooney, Lee Marvin (twice), Telly Savalas and plenty more I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Liked both. I liked the creep factor of NG, actually. There was a version of the intro (video) that was really almost acid trippy.
