The guy put threads on Jackie O and 40 or 50 years later Snoop Dogg was singing about him. That's a career! Heck, he's the guy that put Audrey Hepburn in a "little black dress" and blew that trend up worldwide.

Oh, yes, the LBD!

Funny/mean story about how the name is pronounced. I was presenting at a conference about this time three years ago, and a lady hopped on the elevator with my colleague and me, and we complimented her on her handbag. "Oh, she proudly said, "It's Givenchy." And pronounced it "Guh-venchy."

You know those moments when you dare not even make eye contact for fear you'll explode laughing? One of those moments, but we held it until we were out of earshot and still laugh about it today.

Anyway, long live the LBD and the name Givenchy.
