Current TV Series You'd Like To Recommend

Love "The Americans" but, alas, it's in it's final season. [See on FX or Amazon prime]
The Americans was freaking awesome!

I am watching Hotel Rwanda right now but then I will start binging a new Netflix series... thinking of Designated Survivor, Peaky Blinders, the 100 or Ozark.

Is anyone watching Your Honor with Bryan Cranston? About the judge who's kid does a hit and run on a mobster's kid? It's on Amazon Prime.

I've only seen 2 episodes...not sure if all are out yet...and they are intense and really disturbing. I have to say that it's dark and the opposite of a feel good show...it's fascinating and suspenseful but depressing.

But it's very good and I'm going to keep watching.

My wife and I are enjoying the Bridgerton series, which takes place during England’s Regency Period (during the Napoleonic Wars) and imagines a slightly-alternate universe in which racism does not exist. In this alternate Great Britain, people of non-white descent are able to achieve real power and privilege at all levels of society and no one bats an eye. But despite racism being gone, classicism, sexism and social climbing are nevertheless just as strong forces as they ever were.

I find it an extremely enjoyable watch thus far. Highly recommended if you like anything by Jane Austen.

Ozark is fun, but you have to suspend belief. No one keeps digging a hole that deep!

The characters are well cast!

There is another series that comes to mind, the title escapes but it is about a released convict who assumes his cell mates identity, fun but not logical in the least, I’ll see if I can come up with that tile.

Edit : “Sneaky Pete.”

That is funny... I did not see the "edit" and spent ten minutes searching up convict movies.

Sneaky Pete does not come up for me and I have the American Netflix. Is it old?

See my edit above.

Weren’t we discussing “Queen’s Gambit” elsewhere on the board?
Maybe it was downstairs in that thread I created... don't want to name it, not sure if that breaks Vegas.

Yeah, that was where; me and the missus saw the first episode last night, based on someone’s recommendation. I like it. My experience with chess amounts to knowing how the pieces move, only!

For an average guy I am pretty good, not really good... just pretty good. LOL

Watching that was interesting... I looked up moves/strategies they were doing. Complicated and real.

Great series...

I think that I can get that...

SP is like Ozark in the regard that you have to leave logic in another room, good cinematography and casting is pretty slick, IIRC.

SP ran three seasons and somewhere in season 2 it goes off the rails......

My notification bell thing in the top right corner often does not show new posts... like this one. Weird.

I couldnt get thru episode 1 of Sneaky Pete.

OTOH, it took me 3 tries to get into Breaking Bad and then I loved it.

If you can still find Bloodline on Netflix (I think) that was also excellent. Suspense, twists. First episode was slow but I stuck with it because it took place in the FL Keys where my folks had a place and I knew the locations.

Interesting, I couldn’t get thru Bloodlines, although the cinematography was appealing.

When I saw “Walt” out on the road in his BVDs. I knew this had to be good!

It got SOOO good! Seriously.

I jumped in when it was in reruns and ended up seeing the same (horribly graphic) episode twice. Then another less than intriguing episode. But I came back after so many reviews couldnt stop singing its praises. Fourth time was the charm, lol.

Yep Just put it on my List To Watch... thanks... That guy is pretty good in other things.

My only gripe about BB was that sometimes it took two or three episodes to wrap up the teasers at the start of the episodes. The one that comes to mind Is the one where the teddy bear is floating in the pool minus one eye....

That was a thread thru an entire season. And horrible!
