I don't know how anyone doesn't have a soft spot for Neil.

He is 77 and has parkinson's disease. He stated he will continue to write songs but he won't perform. Lots of people don't realize what a tremendous influence this man has been in the music business. incredibly talented.

Major bummer for those who hoped to see him on the tour he just cancelled

Damn right.....I grew up on Love at the Greek on super quality vinyl, Shure stylus, pumped through a Carver amp and high end Jensens.

Turned up.

Too bad.
I was never a big fan but I could never object to him either. I went to see him once, because it was a good date and because I wanted to see if he'd sing, "Forever in Blue Jeans" while dressed like he was in the Ice Capades.

Rather than be saddened, I'm going to sing the praises of a guy that performed until 77!

Back in the day Neil Diamond has written songs for the Monkees and others.
I believed Neil did a third remake of the film "The Jazz Singer".
I could listen to Neil Diamond all day long, over and over.
I wish him the very best.
