Why I love Christmas

Some might say this should be posted in the religion and politics forum, but I'm not Christian, and the music is why I love this holiday season. The light shows can be perfect eye candy.

The problem with the Brennan's is that there are so many of them. There's almost everyone in Clannad, Moire and her sister Enya, and Annie Rose. So many more. Ach! And a whole new generation coming along. God bless 'em all.

I've looked, looked some more. Never found out who, what or where or anything else about this video. I guess the usual motivations of greed and fame were irrelevant to the people involved. As it should be.
 


I've a 96 year old neighbor who all year receives complaints for the music she blasts. She hears well, just likes her music loud. When she puts this album on, her neighbors ask her to crank it up. :)

It's a thought, but she won't use wired headphones because she can't feel the music with her body, good vibrations. She has a point. She was a professional dancer. We do feel the music, not only hear it.

If I weren't married and at least 35 years younger, I'd be pursuing her hand. :) And Becky is not shabby either. These ladies offer great talents, and they put their talents to good use.

According to the description on YouTube, it's The Piano Guys, David Archuletta, Peter Hollens, and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. They're all known entities.

It didn't give me chills, though.

why do i like Christmas?

many many reasons....

but for me, people in general for a few weeks each year, forget they are assholes, and treat each other a little kinder, and with a bit more compassion in their heart

saw it yesterday....snowing like hell, and a lady had her bag of stuff just break on the way to the car

most of the year, maybe 1 or 2 people try to help

yesterday, must have been 7-8 people jumping in chasing oranges and groceries

i know a little thing....but it made me smile....and everyone was laughing about it the whole time

maybe took 1-2 minutes....but it was the gesture....and the realization that people can be great at times

When I take the NYC subways, I'm almost 69 and walk with a cane, I find young people offer me their seats when it is crowded. Never ceases to amaze me. I usually decline, and have no trouble standing as long as I can grab onto a pole or one the rails above the seats designed for holding. I often see people of all ages, backgrounds, genders offering seats to obviously pregnant women. Little things grow into big things as they multiply. :)
