Epic Tribute to Metal

That's the point of that song, Tanngrisnir. It's a loud, ridiculous collage of references to the most infamous metal bands of yesteryear, violently mashed together with no regard for rhyme or reason. Cliche doesn't even begin to describe this song, and that's why I love it so.

Eh... to me it's not even inspired satire.

I grew up in the 70's, so it was on the roots of all of this stuff, and then into the 80's stuff until Hair Metal bored me to tears.

I can see how it would get old. I have to admit, I was pretty sick of the stuff by the time I was in middle school, myself, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't heavily influence my musical taste for years to come.

Don't get me wrong, I still listen to a good bit of metal. I just never got back into that sort of late Judas Priest vibe, though I can listen to it on occasion.

Not really my thing(I like slower, Sabbathy doom metal mostly), but definitely not bad. Some real talent there.

Doom metal? I like My Dying Bride

Literal earrape. I'd almost rather listen to that mumble rap garbage Governess abuses herself with.

It's interesting. I can't say I'm a fan of this specific song, but I can tell she's willing to experiment with different sounds and styles. I'm definitely going to check out more of that.

The video has a serious Stephen King ending on it, no? That's a trip.

She has a pretty good voice and the beat behind it works well. Need to play this stuff on a reasonably good system because there tends to be a lot of really low end content that gets lost with lesser things like, ummm, my work laptop.
