I just saw it in a pretty nice theater with reclining seats which is sure nice for these super long movies. They however do have Freestyle Coke Machines which pisses me off because those machines were never good and they dont get cleaned like they have to be so everything tastes nasty.

A whole lot of nonsense but so beautiful on the screen. It is already being called a huge commercial disaster though ASIA can in theory save it from losing a ton money, though that is highly unlikely. Cost about $160 million after rebates not including promotion, of which they got a lot, a lot from Hungry I think. Made $30 ish domestic first week-end, only $5 of that in IMAX which makes it an IMAX SUPERBOMB.

There is pretty much CW that the marketing was terrible.

Who saw it, and what did they see?

Let's compare notes.

Surely the fault of the elites.

WE USE TO BE BETTER.

IMO?

The original was an artistic classic, on the order of "2001 A Space Odyssey."

Remakes, even as sequals...seldom fly; much less as high as the original classic.

The big thing people are saying is that this was a bomb to start with, then got a cult following......OVER 30 YEARS AGO......so only old men are going to see it, which will never make back anything like $160 Million plus promotion, so who were these idiots who sunk this much money into it?

Shades of Comcast and Megyn Kelly to be sure.

Just saw it tonight. Liked it a lot. Liked it better than the original.

The movie made about $80 million so far, and its called a huge commercial disaster? Hardly.

It was so good I watched it twice. The plotting is excellent. But of course the Transformers crowd won't like it because it doesn't have enough explosions or juvenile one-liners.

It is a huge disappointment trying to avoid becoming a disaster.

The "UP WITH WOMEN" crowd hates it too though I thought it was very pro women and pro feminine power. That will keep the young away I spect, both the males and the females.

I saw a biggish piece saying "it makes you homesick for the original" but I did not feel that at all. There was sure more to love....double the budget and almost 50 minutes longer by my calculation.

I found the original blade runner dull. It didn't really have much of a story but it was really a more about cinematography. I watched it it was interesting it's not one I'd watch it again. I'm not sure if I want to see the latest one I damn sure don't want to sit in a theater for two and a half hours

With previews a little over 3 hours.

Comfy chairs are important here.

Cocktail waitresses would be nice.

And a large cup to pee in.

YES! I liked it enough that I did not want to get up, lucky for me that they serve that Coke Freestyle crap, I did not drink but half of it.

I sure had to go even so at the end.
