Monk’s been off the air for years now, but it was always a favorite. I just tuned into an episode I recorded during a Monk marathon. It has this scene in it. Every time I see it, it makes me LOL.

The set up is that Lieutenant Stottlemeyer is interviewing a monkey who they are trying to prove could not have fired a gun in his owner’s safe room. That it was, in fact, murder. So Stottlemeyer grabs what he thinks is an empty gun from a,drawer in the squad room and hands it to the monkey enticing him to fire it.

The rest of the crew realize his mistake and frantically try to stop him. I hope it gives you a smile. Definitely my kind of humor.

With all due respect, that's a Chimpanzee, not a monkey and the overt insult to Shriners is offensive. That being said, it's my kind of humor as well:lol:

Yeah, Monk was fun TV.
